I address that in my second post in the thread. Moving past that though, if you have any resources you favor for plants based meals I'd love to look at them!

This makes a ton of sense. I think that's where my mental disconnect is. I would like to cut out dairy and meat for the majority of my day because I do know that there are some great benefits to minimizing those things, but because I do still eat meat I was wondering if "vegan" was appropriate and even worth the time (as…

handful of ice, 1/2 cup almond milk, 2 tbs pb2, chocolate protein in a blender on high. Kind of like a protein frosty that doesn't taste like *kitten*.

I have a 3 month old as well and I'm having problems losing. I think I was restricting too much so I'd end the day eating everything which would put me well over my calorie goal. I used one of the calculators above and it said to eat 2100 since I'm breastfeeding. I had my goal set to 1600! Go figure. I do exercise 3-4x a…

This is my goal for this year as well! I'd love some friends!

She's saying that so many people tell new people "Don't be self-conscious. No one at the gym is looking at you. Just do your thing," when this entire post is about someone coming in to a gym and judging the s*** out of people who are working out. It's hypocritical. "No one is looking at you...except we definitely notice if…

I agree with all of this up until the last sentence. You didn't violate her privacy by going through her stuff. I'm sorry but, while she's 20 years old, she is still living at home. If she's living there rent free, she's giving up some privacy privileges. Do respect her emotional privacy though, if she's not ready for…

No. No no no no no no no. First, 20 lbs in a month an a half is a ridiculous amount of weight lost. It's much too fast. Second, eating under 1200 calories a day is dangerous, especially when you are running that much. You need to eat more. Third, I would really suggest speaking to a professional. I'm not going to diagnose…

You're a peach. He/she didn't say "I'm going to make brownies but make them with beans and cacao nibs" or "yeah, I'll eat a burger that's made out of quinoa and chia seeds." Swapping skim milk for whole milk or choosing a chicken sandwich over ground beef is hardly restriction. Get of your "I eat all the food whenever I…

I'll be drunk.

My body is weird. I gain a LOT the week before and then I lose a good amount the week of. Whatever I lose the week of stays off, too. Example: So if I'm 130 at the beginning of the month, the week before I'll go up to 133, but the week of I'll drop to 129 and stay there until the next cycle. It's really odd but it's…

I LOVE broccoli slaw. I love mixing it with some salt, pepper, garlic powder, and a little plain greek yogurt and eat it on a buffalo turkey burger or with cajun seasoned ahi tuna. SO good.

To be honest, I think the Vivo is overestimating your burns. If your average is in the 160s and it peaks in the 200's, that's not right. You said it has trouble figuring out what's going on, but it is still calculating those numbers into it's final reading and, if that happens often, your entire workout's data will be…

Taylor Swift. Hands down.

That's the thing, she said it was the IT band, but she didn't give me anything but "here's some steroids, don't walk more than you have to until you're done with them." It was urgent care and I wasn't pleased with the service, to say the least. But that's really all she told me.

Try to find some music that fits with your outdoor pace. For me, I could go miles and miles and miles at the pace of "Bang Bang" by Jessie J an "Black Widow" by Iggy Azalea. Find a song that matches a pace youre comfortable with and then find songs with a similar pace. That's what keeps me on track during my runs!

44? I'm really bad at these games

The Heat! Before anyone jumps all over me, I am a fan with or without Lebron. Honestly, I was happy to see him leave because he brought so much drama and hatred to a Heat team that didn't deserve it. Championships were won and that was really exciting, but it was too much negativity despite the success. It's still early in…

http://aguiltlessglutton.com/guiltless-enchilada-casserole/ ^^ this is one of my recipes but I have yet to find someone who doesn't like it. I have a lot of people tell me it's on their weekly rotation because it's so easy and SO good.

Definitely ones with no seams lol There have been plenty uncomfortable showers after wearing a thong that has seams during a long run or spin class :p

I LOVE making sort-of juevos rancheros. They're not real juevos rancheros, but if you bake a tortilla in the oven with some of the beans and some cheese on top until the tortilla gets crispy, then top with a poached egg, some avocado, and some salsa- it is amazing. Like I said, not real juevos rancheros, but that's the…

Who cares about time! Fast or slow, you're still going to same distance as everyone else. Just have FUN!

Slowly... I am not a morning person in the slightest. I am also not a "work all day and go to the gym exhausted and have a lazy workout" person either. Getting up (even though it really does suck sometimes) is always better for me. I never regret waking up earlier. My days are better when I exercise in the morning, I get a…

OP, you OBVIOUSLY need to stop with the exclamation points...obviously. Edit to add: 3 large glasses of wine is a lot of alcohol. if a large glass is 8 oz instead of the 5 oz serving, you're talking an entire bottle of wine.

It's too inconvenient to take a minute to re-arrange your workout schedule? Seriously? You're on a plan. I get that. So move Monday to Tuesday or get up in the morning to get your workout in. Having a "Can't be bothered" attitude is the first way to distance people and I don't think that's your end game.

I have to disagree. There is a software bug with the Jawbone that causes it to malfunction pretty consistently. I have read many many reviews on both and the FitBit seems to be more consistent. The Jawbone is smaller but the FitBit will last you a lot longer.

Over-portioning happens. For sure. But, having worked in the food industry as someone who makes the food, I know that if you're overportioning by 70% you're going to get fired. Food is expensive. For the food industry it is (obviously) incredibly expensive and the portions given by corporate are made more to balance out…
