Zumba, 3 times a week, worked great for me :)
-
I was exercisizing several times a week and also maintaining a certain number of calories a day. It took FOREVER to see any significant loss. Once I stopped working out, (and continued monitoring/restricting calories), I started losing a pound a week. Not working out just worked better for me.

My friend and I both have this, and we LOVE it. We use it everyday and it really helps. http://www.walmart.com/ip/The-Biggest-Loser-Digital-Food-Scale-6.6-lb.-Capacity/11090896

Thats a good point... and if I never experienced what I did, I never would have found the man I'm with now. But at the same time, I dealt with alot of crap I didnt deserve.

Just quit for a couple weeks. Cut back on other sugars too. Once you try it again after the 2 or3 weeks, you'll probably find that it's TOO SWEET for you... cut out the diet soda too. I havent had a more than a 20oz of soda in the last 8 months and I don't miss it at all.

Perfect. Let the professionals do their job. :)

Wow.. Don't wait it out. I know 30 year olds that act the same way. The video games never stop, the drugs never stop. If you are questioning it, then dump him. Life is too short for BS and there's certainly someone better for you. Get out before he knocks you up.... Sorry to be so harsh but there are a million things about…

peter - you sound like you are just killing time here. you have no proof that it's defective and you should have CALLED, not emailed, CALLED Polar for assistance. Then you could SPEAK with someone who knows what’s going on with your monitor. No matter how much "data" you collect from a forum, you will not get what you…

Bump! I just calculated my TDEE (-25%) and I'm hoping for more success stories too! Keep them coming! Eating more makes me nervous! lol

I started at about 225. I keep my calories between 1400 to 1600 and also take Zumba Classes (one hour each) 2 to 3 times a week. In the 7 months I've been consistant with this, I lost 25 lbs. I didnt start drinking the 8cups of water a day until recently, and I can see thats going to make a big difference too.

Honestly, I was never a drinker. I never drank more than a few cups of coffee in the morning and MAYBE 16oz of iced tea or whatever a day... I drink some water when I'm at Zumba... but still not alot. I'm guessing I've always been dehydrated and must have gotten used to it.. it's starting to sound like I don't know what…

wowzers.. thanks, everyone, for your responses! :flowerforyou: I was really hoping that either my [dehydrated] body would hold on to more water, or my bladder would get stronger. either might sound silly, but I was just hoping there was some relief (pardon the pun) in the semi-near future. Its a good thing I'm not tethered…

I'm 5'4 and I just hit 198 today (down 25.6lbs now.... yay!) I shoot for cardio three times a week, and try to keep my cals under 1500 a day. send a friend request if you'd like! :)

I've been lingering in size 18 in Misses for a while, and once it was determined that I needed 20W's, that was ENOUGH for me.

Good one!!! :) And congrats to you!!!

You can make an omlet at night and throw it in the fridge. I'll sometimes do that. It heats up really nicely in a pan with a lid while you are running around the kitchen packing your lunch in the morning. I wouldnt try the microwave tho.. it'll come out rubbery. Greek Yogurt is high in protein too! Grab a yogurt and…

I used to be the same way! At 225lbs, My knees hurt, I was sweating like crazy, I couldnt catch my breath and just wanted to fall over. BUT then I found Zumba, where you can make it your own. You can choose the intensity you can want to do. I used to do a level 1 (according to my instructor) which was the easiest. After a…

I dont weigh myself the week of, and wont weigh myself until its been a full week after I stopped. I get easily frustrated when the scale goes up, so I dont put myself through that! LOL.. I figure that waiting one week after I finished is plenty of time to get back to normal :)

I found this recipe for replacing cream-of-whatever soup in recipes. it works great!!!. the recipe makes 9 uses (or substitutes for 9 cans of whatever soup), so it breaks down to only adding 130 cals, and 84g Sodium each time you use this to replace one can of soup. I hope this makes sense! lol 2 cups skim milk powder 1…

I just realized that light greek yogurt is awesome! Kroger (a grocery store in a few of the states) has a light greek, which is much sweeter than regular greek. You could also try adding a bit of sweetner if you need to. I love the consistancy tho.. I dont think I can go back to regular yogurt. Greek is more "hearty" and…

Omlette. I cook this the night before and warm it back up in a pan in the morning. Saves time! 2 Eggs - 140 1blsp Turkey Bacon Pieces - 25 1/4 c motz cheese (80 cals) or sharp Cheedar (110 cals) Total 275 AND high in protein (22g) I tested this one, and it held me over for 4 hours! :) Light Greek Yogurt (Kroger has it for…

I think your sodium intake is probably affecting what you see on the scale. Lunch meats, cheeses, and other processed foods are loaded with sodium and make you retain water... And I also suggest you weigh yourself first thing in the morning after using the bathroom (like a previous poster mentioned) and watch the sodium..…

Hah! Congrats to you!!!

Hi. I'm 5'3 and currently 206. My goal is 150. I'll send Friend Request. :)

Are you drinking anything? It's been said to drink lots of water and that will help fill you up, but I always have coffee or tea in the morning, and that will hold me over for about an hour or so. Then I eat something small again, like a fiber bar, or a bowl of watermelon. I eat every couple of hours during the morning and…

I'm with you! Same weight loss goals, I've lost 18 lbs already.. sending you a request!! :)

5'3.. mostly hips and thighs here. I started at 224 wearing a 20W but they were kinda baggy in the legs. the waist fit pretty well tho. now I'm 206 and my regular 18's are getting baggy now too. I've actually took them in so they dont fall off my hips too much!

I love it! I've been doing Zumba for about 6 months and its the only exercise I really ENJOY. Its FUN. I take classes, and the ladies hoot, holler, and laugh the whole time. Our DJ couldnt find the song we needed last nigth so the entire class just started singing it and doing the routine to pass the time. Its a blast! I…

My cousin did it! She loved it! She blogged about it! Here you go: http://runningmyashoff.wordpress.com/ LOL she said: Try to savor it because you will love it so much that you will want to inhale it. :) Edited: Oh shoot. I thought you asked if anyone TRIED it.. I didnt see "fry".. lol.. whoops. Sorry.
