I don't think I agree with that weight loss guru, since I eat rice and bread everyday and still losing weight smoothly. I think portion size and calories intake is the point. If you eat carbs in a reasonable amount, you can eat anything you like and stil losing weight.

Of course it works. But I can tell you the result you get is NOT maintainable once you go back to normal dieting. I tried it before. Trust me, never push yourself to this extreme.

May I know how much cardio is too much? I do aerobic dancing for 30 mins and walking for 60 mins on daily basis. Is this going to slow down my metabolism? Hope someone could answer me. Thanks in advance.

I seldom use protein shakes to replace my meal as I don't feel full enough by only drinking liquid. Instead, I use it to replace my snack so that I won't eat chocolate, chips and so on.
