Add more protein to your diet. It will help. If you need a suppliment form, you can buy shakes.

A big heart felt thank you to all of you! :flowerforyou:

First, a big thank you! :) As to the depression....I was on antidepressents and I think that helped with the weight gain. I weaned myself off of them and took a good hard look at my life to figure out what was stressing me out and making me feel bad. I realized I don't need "outside" stress. In my case, that turned out to…

Thank you all so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to know that I have inspired people...what an honor! All it took for me to get moving is seeing that dreadful picture of me. I knew I wanted to lose before that, but it didn't really hit home until I saw how big I actually got. When I started MFP, I was sticking to…

My NSV, I've logged my food for 364 consecutive days! I'm quite proud of myself for this! :)

Hmm...I would never be "looking for a reason to be upset with people", ever. Stress and depression helped put the weight on, I got rid of those, then came the ambition to lose the weight. Maybe I'm not the average person on message boards, but what I am is happy in my life and have let go of all the stress that doesn't…

Oh, I've never brought the subject up on my own. Its when they complain and give the excuses. I would never want to hurt their feelings.

I agree that weight is a touchy subject...But if they know I'm counting calories, (when we're together I might pass on that margarita, and not touch the chips) and have really upped my workouts, they know I'm trying to lose the weight, so there wouldn't be any offence taken. I'm not projecting, I'm in a happy good place in…

You're right, they do find every excuse under the sun, "I'm so busy", "people keep bringing us lunch at work". I do try to offer suggestions for them, but I don't think they really listen, or just don't want to put in the effort.

Before I gained my weight, a couple of friends called me skinny b****. Then I went through a rough time in my life, put tons of weight on...no comments at all. Nobody seemed concered, nobody asked if I was ok, nothing. Now that I've lost most of the weight I've gained, I've reclaimed the name skinny b**** again. Yes, my…

Yes, P90x is a DVD program. You don't need a whole lot of space to do it, but possibly one of the DVDs you need a bit more room. My house isn't huge, and I have no issues with space for it.

Perfect answer! I wouldn't have even thought about that, I was just going to say to try different exercises until she finds one she loves. I'm in my 8th week of p90x, and I love what it taught me, and how strong I've become. I also love that everyday is a different exercise. :)

Today I hit my 326 day streak...I log on weekends, but it's hard to be good on weekends. I'm either hanging out with friends for dinner and drinks, or outside with my hubby having a couple of cocktails...It gets tough! I'm already worried about the holiday weekend and the plans that have already been made. I always make…

Thank you! I currently use online calculators with my measurements, which shows a lot better results than what my scale tells me. :), I was just wondering if the test at the pharmacy would be any good.

weight watchers does work, I've never tried their foods (other than the ice cream bars) but it works the same way as MFP. Instead of counting calories you count points. It's typically 1 point for every 50 calories. I'm sure you can grill a chicken breast (or bake), steam some veggies (or boil), and nuke a potato. Don't try…

I've been wondering this myself. I'm 5' 2.78" and weigh 127. My original goal was 125, but when I hit 129 I decided to change my ultimate goal to 120. I did this because I'm still not happy with my stomach, and looking at all my notes I have taken during this journey, for every 10 pounds I lose, I lose 1-2 inches from most…

I could walk to a gym, I think I've only gone 5 times since last August. All of my strenght training and cardio exercises have been done at home or outside. I lose inches quickly, I'm starting to see some awesome muscle tone all over (my son and husband are always making comments about my muscle  ) So I say ditch…

Before I lost the weight, I was an apple shape. Now, I'm an hourglass, but still working on my gut that I have, All I have done is eat right almost everyday and workout almost everyday. Keep chugging along and your sides will start to cave in.

1. As of this morning, I'm down 54 pounds 2. I started MFP (weightloss journey) on Aug 5, 2013. (9 months) 3. I normally do indoor exercises like 30 day shred (2x) and here and there through out, any type of cardio, and now p90x 4. My starting weight was 181 :frown: and I'm currently at 127 5. I never consider myself on a…

I workout to be healthier, more confident, sexier, to feel and look stronger, and to set a great example for my kids.

Try a greek yogurt, or seasoned kale chips (I've just discovered these), some string cheese with some fruit, some jerky...Try adding a bit more protein so your not so hungry when you get home, it really helps me. Something that doesn't have any nutrients but is very low in calories are sugar free jello, sometimes with cool…

I use instant oatmeal, add your water or milk to it, and I add 2 servings of egg whites. Stir it up, Nuke for a minute, stir again and nuke for another minute and a half. Stir before eating. It comes out thick and fluffy, if you want it thinner add more liquid. It's super easy, and an even easier way to get more protein in…

Frozen blueberries in oatmeal with egg whites...Mmmmm All the blueberries explode and is so good. Good source of antioxidents, fiber, and protein.

Thank you! :) Getting to 18% will only put me at 120 and I"m 5'2.78" so know I won't be sickly looking.

Thank you all so much! One thing I do struggle with is getting enough protein...I'm trying..Sometimes it can be tough. I started p90x today, and have been the same weight for 16 days now. I know it's a slow progress, and I know I am putting muscle on at the same time ( I can see guns when I brush my hair) :) It's just a…

Thank you. I will start putting it in no matter how embarrassing. :) Though, quick adds aren't a problem, I rarely use them. I sometimes add it in at the end of the day as a "just in case" calories eaten by calories being wrong on MFP.
