Excellent point on the long-term commitment - I signed up on a month-to-month membership, and event though I really like it, I'm not going to commit to anything more at this point.

I'm in my 4th month of CrossFit, and the results have been pretty awesome. I do 2 CrossFit workouts a week. Our classes are either 'endurance' or 'strength' based. 1200 sounds really really low. Have you consulted with your doctor or a nutritionist? Also, I would consider adding different kinds of exercise, some basic weight lifting - nothing heavy - might do the trick!

I want folks to say something, and when they do, I feel weird about it. I'm hurt if they don't say something, and then if they do, it feels like they're confirming that I was indeed fat before.
