I hope this group gets revived a bit. I am very new to 80/10/10 and having the expected challenges. Can't get enough calories because I am soooo full. All I can do is keep adjusting and maybe my stomach will get used to it. I fell so good otherwise that I want to find a way to make it work. Guess I'll check YouTube for…

I am also new to raw vegan diet. I say diet because I am only trying it out for now. I find it impossible to eat enough calories without overdoing the fat. There is no way I could eat another bite today and I am not even at 900 calories. I feel really good but am afraid to mess up my metabolism. Any tips?

If you don't get it by now. Maybe this thread isn't for you. But of course your continued skepticism is inspiring and all are welcome.

Thanks for the crustacean creature alert. But overall we need to have more trust in our plant friends.
-
That works for me! But again some people are just on here to lose weight and seem to be ok with some sugar. Just wouldn't work for me and many others.
-
You've got to account for biological/biochemical individuality. For me personally anything that is not a whole food is not healthy. For me.
-
Thank you. Well written.

I thought a few plants contained B12. Alfalfa, seaweeds and a few others?

Good point.

If you happen to be in the NE United States, check out TheSuppersProgram.org. Not only does the website have recipes but there are meetings all over and they are not selling anything. You get together and cook for the first 30minutes and the second 30minutes you all sit down and eat and discuss diabetes and other health…

Ok. I will revise my statement for you. I could meet my macros and calorie goals by eating mostly fruits and veggies and lean protein and a small percentage of foods such as pizza, ice cream, chips but that is just not for me as an individual. For me whole foods for life"!

I understand that the pb is scary for you at this point. I am not one to suggest much other than whole foods but the protein shake may work or would you consider a fish oil capsule. You may start to feel emotionally better if your brain gets some fats. Good luck sweetie.

Low carb is not a fad diet. It is a great way for some people to move towards what we all desire. To feel fantastic. I can meet my macros and calorie goals by eating 4 pieces of chocolate cake and a few scoops of protein powder but that just wouldn't work for me a an individual. For me whole foods for life. Good luck to…

Option 1 for sure. But not for everyone.

Thanks again for the helpful and not at all opinionated or kinda mean advice.
-
For example. It just seems like your referring to detox, juice/water fast etc. as idiocy. Maybe I am misunderstanding you.
-
. What a coincidence. I just read a post about "meanies".

Are you ok dude? You may in fact be healthier than I am. Although you brought that up not me. It's just more likely that a whole food is health promoting than a processed food is. No need to defend your food choices. It's your call.
-
Don't like 1 in 3 of us have blood sugar issues?
-
How long have you been working for McDonalds? For the most part only whole foods are healthy. That means one ingredient. Cake-fine if you really want it but it' s gotta be some quality whole foods ingredients to be even close to healthy.

1.5 cups ground almond/hazelnut/any nut would probably work 3eggs 1/2tsp. Salt Up to 1/4cup maple syrup Blend together about 30 seconds Pour into muffin tin WITH LINERS or your ruin the tin Bake for 20-25 minutes at 375. Really yummy muffins. You can work with applesauce and stevia but I have not tried.

You keep writing this and it's just not true. Or at least I am as sure that I am correct as you are.

Congrats on your 11percent body fat! We all know!. You are clearly unique. Eating whole foods in only torture if you are still addicted to processed foods. But we should all support one another more because processed foods or not, people on this site are becoming healthier than they were before this journey. For the most…

All you want now is to be thin. But trust me if you let this disordered eating get out of control, being thin will be the least of your problems. I would get help while you are mentally well enough to know you may need it. This is not criticism. This is having seen many go through similar experiences and lose a decade…

Be careful. The Wolf pack may peg us as noobs for not knowing that one. I have no idea either.
-
thank you and OP for all the great info. I agree not many on here will understand but I do and wanted to give you some support because your right there will be backlash from people who are still so addicted to processed foods that they can't help defending their habits.

Wolf pack (I think) is the proposed name for a posse on this site that consider calorie counting and macros with no regard for micronutrients. They have all been very successful and wear little clothing.
