440 miles. Camping where road bends right to run down slope toward the River Bruinen.

Gone 380 miles. Hills are higher and steeper. We are forced north out of our way. Still raining. Camped on a stony shelf by a shallow cave.

The best advice I have seen on this subject is to eat the extra calories if you get really hungry and water and veggies don't help, eat a few of the extra calories.

How about spinach (any dark leafy veggie) They have both calcium and iron. Remember Popeye and his spinach.
