  • I just started clipless about a week ago. The most noticeable change is when climbing. It's so much easier with clipless pedals. Cannot go back to flats, I don't think!
  • I agree with everyone else! I find the closest item a national chain has to guess calories. I typically overestimate the amount of calories to be safe with unknown items (maybe doing 1.2x servings instead of 1.0). I try to limit the amount of "unknown" calories in when possible, though!
  • I just bought my first ever road bike yesterday (Specialized Diverge E5 Elite). I've only ever ridden hybrids before. I also bought my first ever clipless pedals. I spent about 30 minutes in my kitchen practicing clipping in/out, including falling over and busting my butt in the kitchen (though better than the road, hah!)…
  • I lost 30 pounds in 2016 without exercising at all. I've lost about 28 pounds so far this go around exercising a lot (5x a week T25, lots of bicycling, kayaking, hiking, etc). I personally have found my current attempt much easier overall to meet my calorie deficit. I like that I can go on a 1.5hr bike ride and that allows…
  • Incredible work! Do you mind me asking your height?
  • Honestly, Beta switches gears a bit, incorporating resistance (resistance bands or dumbbells). I'd say Beta is more of a "curveball" than anything, though I'd say it's a bit of a ramp up physically. "Total Body Circuit" in Alpha matches up against anything in Beta or Gamma in terms of difficulty, IMO.
  • I've been cutting at a somewhat aggressive rate since May. Mid-August I was feeling a bit burned out, so I decided to eat at maintenance for just two days. After those two days of maintenance, I immediately went right back into my normal deficit. Found it very interesting how long those 2 days of maintenance impacted my…
  • T25 Upper Focus done as well as Hybrid Gamma! Much needed rest days then restarting regular Gamma.
  • Shaun T is rubbing off on you! Haha.
  • Finished T25 Dynamic Core. Tomorrow is my last day of the Gamma "Pure Strength" hybrid. Not sure what to do next! Maybe another round of normal Gamma (liked that more than Hybrid, I think). The post exercise high is wonderful! Totally makes the mid-exercise hell worth it! Lol
  • Incredible work! Good job.
  • Hi everyone! Checking in. 165 days sober today. Been trying to quit permanently since 2016 -- this is my longest stretch (4 months, 3 months being the other two longest ones). I'm so much happier without alcohol, so trying to learn/absorb as many tools as possible to make this last. I will not drink with you all today!
  • Week 2 Gamma Hybrid completed (Extreme Circuit today). Also went for a 10 mile bike ride. Looking forward to rest day tomorrow!
  • Just found this thread! Bought my first "real" bike this year (just a hybrid -- kind of regretting not going full road). This is what I've done so far (Strava stats) in August. Current goal is to build endurance. 8/7 - 14.1 miles at 15.3MPH average 8/8 - 5.1 miles at 15.0MPH average 8/9 - 17.8 miles at 14.3MPH average 8/10…
  • T25 Total Body Circuit done today! First week of Gamma Pure Strength done!
  • Today was day 2 week 1 of modified Gamma -- "Rip't Up". I've decided Rip't Up is my favorite workout in the entire T25 program (just ahead of "Extreme Circuit".) I've decided I'm skipping double workout days and focusing on increasing my bicycling endurance as an alternative. Had a great T25 workout and then went on…
  • I naturally gravitate towards towards an IF schedule, but not intentionally. I wake up and exercise, and aside from creamer in my coffee, I have no calories until afternoon (I'm not hungry until 12-2PM, depending on the day). Get most of my calories in between 1-9PM on most days. Works for me! I don't feel restricted…
  • Me too! I really don't think I can go back to Alpha/Beta. It's Gamma for me only going forward, or another program. Have 1 week left in Gamma. After that, think I'm gonna repeat Gamma or try Body Beast.
  • Except for the fact it's sponsored by a milk company and they're pushing milk, rest of video is surprisingly accurate!
  • * Sparkling Water. Addicting. Refreshing. 0 calories. Helps me suppress hunger. * Digital Scale. * MFP! * My bicycle! * Coffee!!!
  • Just finished my first week of T25 Gamma! I actually kind of like that it doesn't have double day for the 5th days. Allows me to have energy to do other physical activities that I enjoy (biking, swimming, etc) without feeling too burned out.
  • Sorry to hear about your accident! Hope you're feeling better. To get back into it, I'd recommend start weighing all of your foods, if you aren't already. You can still lose weight just by eating at a deficit (if you're unable to train due to your injuries). Doesn't even have to be "proper nutrition" either. I think…
  • Daily. Normal weight fluctuations can make it hard to see trends on a day-to-day (or even week-to-week basis). Also, I love graphs. Love tracking my trend! Also a very cool feeling when my goal expected weight loss (-1.0 pounds per week), matches the actual current rate for weight loss.
  • T25 Beta round officially complete! Speed 3.0 + Extreme Circuit. Ouch. Onward to Gamma! Sucks to hear about your back! Some of these exercises are making my back uncomfortable too. (Sitting bicycle kick to V-up being one of them). Might take it easier on some of the intensive back exercises in Gamma for a bit too.
  • Hi! Looking for more friends/support. Feel free to add!
  • I can work from home about 40% of my workweek. Looking for friends for support! Feel free to add!
  • Tomorrow is my last day of T25 Beta round. First time making it this far (dabbled in Alpha twice in the past). Haven't missed a day yet (even double workout days!). Very proud of myself. I feel great physically -- probably the best since middle school when I was last active. 16 pounds down so far in a 2 and a half months…
  • I eat back all of my exercise calories. Due to the format MFP uses (NEAT), that's really the way to go. If I want to lose at a more aggressive loss per week, I will adjust my weekly goals to accommodate. I really very much like knowing where I'm at for net calories each day. If I set my goal for 1900 calories net and reach…
  • You are losing at a great rate! Slow and steady is the way to go, in my opinion! Creating a lifestyle plan that works for you without feeling burned out. While it can be frustrating that I won't hit my destination overnight, I also didn't put on all this extra weight overnight, either. Just keep it going! You got this.
  • Just finished 4th week of Beta (first exposure to Gamma, as I'm subbing in the workouts when allowed). I just wanted to say that my first exposure to Speed 3.0 being on my double day with Rip't Up was NOT a fun experience mid-workout. Though I feel pretty fantastic now that it's over. One more week until Beta is completed!…
