  • I'd say the same - try upping your calorie intake a bit, but with not with sugary stuff! Have you tried taking (extra virgin organic) coconut oil? It's great for speeding up the metabolism and helps many people lose weight - sounds backwards, I know - eat fat to lose fat - but there's a lot of info out there about it. That…
  • I take mine when I take off my rings at night and I take my birth control pill when I put my rings on first thing in the morning. I always notice if i have my rings on in bed, or if i don't have them on during the day, so it's easy to remember whether I've taken my meds or not :)
  • Hi, I'm on 100mcg Levothyroxine and have been for the past 2 years or so. Over this time I have put on about 10 or so kg. It'd be easy to blame the whole lot on hypothyroidism, but that'd be fooling myself. I was definitely eating too much and had pretty poor self control around sweet things, chocolate in particular. I was…
  • Me too - in New Lynn.
  • I think it depends on how much under. We should all be aiming to hit our calorie goal. A few cals under is fine, particularly when you gained some from exercising (but these should, at least mostly, be eaten back). If you go too far under your goal, then chances are you won't be feeding your body enough, meaning you will…

  • So I've been doing so reading and talking to people and have recently discovered that it's best not to be consuming less than your BMR (which is basically what your body would need to survive on if you were in a coma - ie NO activity). MFP, however has set my daily count at 1300, but my BMR is (approx) 1500…
  • My thoughts exactly. But if the extra is not empty calories, but real food that your body can use, then surely it'll be ok??? I don't know...
  • Thanks, fabulous. And congratulations! :) One question: When you say "BMR and TDEE all the way!" does this mean your calorie intake was at/above your BMR? MFP has my daily allowance at about 200 cals less than my BMR and I'm wondering what to do...
  • Hi! I'm keen on walking and yoga (a bit un-co for Zumba, though). I live in New Lynn, too. Have two littlies, so need to work around kindy drop off and nap time, but otherwise am pretty flexible:smile:
