  • Maybe I'm just in my own head too much. :)
  • I think it look strange when I buy groceries for myself and my boyfriend. So there will be kale, avocados, tomatoes, lean protein, and granola (my stuff) and then... Lunchables, mayonnaise, sugary yoghurt, soda, ground beef, crisps (his). I'm somewhat slight (now). A man behind me once mused "Do you really eat that stuff?"…
  • Done.

  • Minestrone or salad with no dressing.
  • The definition of irony.
  • I do not like pet names or strangers touching me. Repeatedly calling people you don't know by pet names when they've asked you to stop is just arrogant and unnecessary. Just because you're used to it doesn't mean everyone else is like you. There's nothing wrong with being sensitive to other's personalities rather than…
  • We have two bathrooms, one for each of us. I get to spread out my flat iron, curling iron, hair spray, hair cream, etc while he gets to do whatever in his. Too bad he keeps coming into mine and using my sink. I suspect he's not up on cleaning as much as he wants me to think he is.
  • I used to avoid washing jeans because I knew once I dried them, I'd have to "break" them in. I would pull them up and do a few "squats" to make sure I could stretch out the waistband. Wear layered shirts so I didn't look like I had belly sticking out. I still wear 3/4 sleeve shirts because my upper arms aren't quite there…
  • I went with a mate to check out and see if I wanted to join his gym (24, as it were). I was waiting for him near the entrance when these two huge, muscular dudes started shouting at each other. Everyone stops and stares as they push each other back and forth. One of the trainers breaks them up and tells them to leave. As…
  • I am thinking of having a fleur de lys (from grandmere's family crest) behind my right ear (the size of a quarter). Out of immediate sight, easy to hide, small. I'm so anxious about finding someone who can do small work well, it will probably never be done. I had my eyebrow pierced when I was in high school but took it out…
  • I don't mind tats, as long as they are done well. Nothing worse than a badly done tattoo.
  • The California State Fair (annually, in July) has had a stand for deep fried foods (twinkies, hot dogs, butter, pickles, ice cream, etc) for years. It's simultaneously fascinating and repulsive.
  • The increase in the amount of recipes/cooking methods I know. Recreating a dish at home is awesome: you get intimately familiar with ingredients and the things you eat.
  • I was so self conscious about running, I bought a treadmill. I run every day, to the displeasure of my downstairs neighbours.
  • I wish I could go. I hope they do it again next year so I can plan accordingly.
  • Lemon juice is good enough for me.
  • For what it's worth, fruitarians have their own problems: http://www.goaskalice.com/2218.html Alice! is a portal for Columbia University (http://health.columbia.edu/services/alice), just so it doesn't seem like I'm linking to some random website.
  • The EPA agrees with you: http://water.epa.gov/action/advisories/drinking/upload/EPA_comments11-5-2010.pdf It could merely be water retention. Weight gain is not enough information to present a clear picture at to what the cause may be.
  • Carrots have the second highest amount of sugar (beets are first; http://www.fruitsandveggiesmatter.gov/month/carrot.html) as far as vegetables are concerned. They're not a big deal on their own, but if you're worried about sugars already, it's at least something to think about.
  • Mint chutney and naan.
  • Sugar is sugar. It's all digested the same whether it's white sugar, brown sugar, pineapple, etc. (http://www.afic.org/What%20you%20should%20know%20about%20sugars.htm, http://www.nfb.org/Images/nfb/Publications/vodold/sugars.htm) Just replace it with vegetables (not carrots).
  • Thank you for saving me the time to find the link and restoring my faith in humanity. Excuse me while I go enjoy a McDonald's hamburger and enjoy the reading posts of people who have not read past the OP.
  • In this day and age where so many people are looking for work and jobs are so few, it could very well be used as a "weeding out" factor as well. I work in governmental HR and we remove people from consideration for all kinds of things: not signing applications, not dating work experience, application is late, etc. The…
  • Zorro enjoys watching me run on the treadmill, although sometimes he gets bored and sleeps.
  • Don't feel like you need to decide what you want to do NOW. Take some time to figure yourself out before you commit to anything. Don't be so serious about everything, it's alright to fail once in awhile. And: And:
  • Measure the neck at the narrowest part (towards the middle) and the bust around the largest part.
  • Finding birth control is like finding a significant other: you won't find one that is perfect, you just have to find one you can deal with. The hormones affect everyone differently, there is no way to know for sure how it will affect you until you're in the process.
  • I wish I could give you a +1 for that. So clever!
  • Fun fact: Nestle Pure Life water is bottled from Sacramento's (where I live) rivers. I drink filtered tap water (it's attached to the sink). We have well water at home, so it is quite hard and not recommended to drink without some kind of filtering.
