Wow. This comment really got me in the feels. I too work with kids (middle & high school teacher) and I am always so terrified that they'll end up filming me. I realise everyday that I'm fat, because I have trouble fitting into my clothes. But I never realise just how overweight I am until I see myself in a photo or video.…

Growing up, we often had a small bowl of cottage cheese with sliced spring onions/shallots/green onions. These ones (springonion): Or finely chopped radish + chives. We would have this as breakfast. yum! P.S. Sorry for huge images. Couldn't get the bbcode to resize :s

For me, exercise helps with eating in a better healthier way. Cal counting/dieting alone is not enough for my weightloss efforts. Without exercise, I need to call upon a lot of willpower and discipline to eat properly. Without exercise, I am eating a 1L tub of icecream in one sitting, or a whole pizza, or a whole bag of…

Surely losing inches (cm) is motivating? I'm sure you've noticed a difference in your clothes or posture :) Don't get too hung up on the number on the scale, keep going with the aiming for the cm loss.

:o Whoa... add that to the list of foods I never thought I'd see be a thing!

Because some of us are completely metric :D My country hasn't used ounces since the 1970s.

Just to add to this, I always worry if I'm being consistent with how tightly I'm pulling yhe tape measure to read the number... :S

It's all about building it into routine. I am NOT a morning person. I naturally stay up to 2am or later. BUT I agree with other posters who talk about if they don't exercise in the morning, it won't get done later. I'm currently trying to get myself back into morning exercising again too. Having clothes prepped the night…

If you want to be convinced not to drink, (although wine is delicious!) have you ever thought about what it's costing you in a financial sense? You say you drink mainly on the weekends - is that bottles you are buying yourself, or purchasing by the glass at a restaurant or pub/bar ? If you're buying a glass of wine for…

This is exactly what motivated me to go from weekly to daily morning weigh-ins. That, and I'm a numbers nerd, so I use a graphing app to see the trend in data. I only log my weight here every Monday however, and I'm using the tape measure first Monday of every month.

@ShawtyShawt I like your party! I'm also going to bring Samosas to share. P.S. I don't understand how people haven't cottoned on yet on how to play?? I love this game :)

I'm having a go at restating again. I always start with great intentions, plan when I'm going to go when... and then I let life get in the way :( So yesterday was Week 1 Day 1 for me. Felt okay. No soreness or anything. Just the mental struggle of 'I don't want to do this'. I felt happy with my pace in the run (read: jog)…

I love to be outside and I admittedly am one of those that find the treadmill BOR-ing! However, I do use the cross-trainer at my gym because I have lingering knee issues from an old torn meniscus injury. Using the cross-trainer allows me to run faster, whereas moving outside on the ground would be too high impact. Another…

There must be something in the water, because I got motivated to go out again this afternoon! I ended up following through on what I said earlier about getting back into C25K. Completed Week 1 Day 1. This makes my totals as follows: 1) Mon 4 April 3.32km 2) Mon 4 April 2.98km

I can't remember if I've joined one of these challenges before, but I'm going to try it now. Mainly a walker, but I want to get back into Couch to 5K again. I have a 14km race in June that I participate in every year, but I usually just walk it. I figure my walk time's as good as it's going to get, so time to start running…

There is also a Couch25K group here on MFP where you can post your daily progress, or discuss which app/version of the program works best for you. community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/30-couch-to-5k-running-program-c25k I love the Couch25K program. Like many have stated here, have always been overweight = always hated…

Brisbane Australia. At 10:50 am, temperature is 30.5*C - That converts to 87*F ? We're meant to be heading to 32*C today (90*F), but I wouldn't be surprised if it gets hotter, or the apparent temp is higher. :-P Urgh, rescue me now...

Old nuts, new nuts, hmm Asking genuine question Are almonds true nuts?

I just came across this and I hope that I can get in! :s What a cool & clever idea.

You know, I need reminders like this from time to time. Thanks! Although, I do love the 'crunch' a sprinkling of seeds on my morning porridge can give me. :)
