I made quiche - ham, mushroom and (tinned) asparagus. Topped with cherry tomatoes & thyme. Seems pumpkin was a popular choice! I've also got some pumpkin cooking itself into a soup on the stove for tomorrow's lunch (and the freezer).

Another Australian here! *waves* When I lived in Canberra, I drank the tap water, always thought it the best water in the world. Now I'm in Qld and everywhere I've lived here, I use my Brita filter jug. It's always unnerving to turn on the tap and see the water foam and bubble in the glass for a minute or two... :noway: My…

I get similar symptoms - dizziness, lightheadedness, etc just from summer. These are signs for heat exhaustion. I used to live in a climate where summer lasted for 7 months. I consider it summer when the temperature stays over 35*C (95*F). Many days would be over 40*C (104*F). Can I also add a whinge that I don't work in…

I'm 5'8". My long-term goal weight is actually a size. At my healthiest and fittest I was AUS size 12. I have so many clothes from that size that I've held onto and just can't seem to let go of. So, ideally, I'd like to get back there again. That was when I was 68kg (150lbs). Mind you, this was ten years ago when I was 19.…

OMG!! I'd totally forgotten about Chia Pets! You're right, we did use to use them as kids. Completely never ever put the two together. Chia seeds and chia pets are the same chia. Whoa!

:noway: Wow! As interesting as all that was to read, I feel so sorry for OP whose post got hijacked! Listen, you said you'd been drinking over 1L a day? You had a break, then after you had some again, you felt poorly. In all honesty, I think you've figured it out. Drinking the diet pepsi/diet coke has given you a…

I'm avoiding foods that I can't moderate myself with yet. I love ice-cream, chips (fries), chips (crisps), cheesy crackers, pizza, Burger King, cake, donuts, lasagne, cheese.... all the high calorie goodness! But I know I can't eat all of them all of the time. I'm learning how to eat and enjoy them in moderation. I've…

Your post has made me realise just how much I love clothes, and how there is a story behind your favourite pieces. It's the same reason why I never got rid of my smaller clothes (from my university days). You are so right when you attach memories to clothes, I think I just realised I do the same. But really, what a…

4.57%? Really? Hey... that's cool! That's like nearly... 1/20 th of me! I can almost feel myself shrinking away... Thanks very much kimjutjor for working that our for me. My brain couldn't handle the maths. (I mean, it took me long enough to figure out how to get Excel to do the kg -> lbs conversion for me each…

HAHAHA! Your OP was exactly how I was going to reply! ETA: I just read through all the posts. HI-Larious!!!

But, but ,but... it was mom approved! Best line in the entire article! Seriously, if that's what she was wearing, then PF deserves this bad publicity.

Trinity Rising - by Elspeth Cooper. 2nd book in what originally going to be a trilogy, but now looks like it is going to be longer. Fantasy genre.

This is what I do! We have some fruity herbal teas like 'Cranberry, Strawberry & Pomegrante' or 'Blackberry' or 'Green tea with Vanilla' - Yum! :drinker: ETA: I also agree with this poster This has been my experience too. I also hate water for the taste (I know, I know), but once I get into the habit of drinking water, I…

What is cream of wheat?! I've never heard of it. (Australia) Google and Wikipedia have just left me more intrigued. :)

Omigosh, I feel you on this! I too am an introvert and all this that you've described is what I've had happen to me and I hate it as much as you do... To the OP - no, I don't think it's weird to not want people at work knowing. I'm also not telling anyone I work with that I''m trying to eat better/lose weight. I wouldn't…

Bump. (I don't know the answer, but I'm sure there are people out there who do)

Enjoying my Sunday morning after (walking) my first 5K race. Time of 48'34".

Ohhh, I've heard of Leslie Sansone - she does Walk Away the Pounds doesn't she? I came across an online video for her once - I think it was a 2 mile? Took around 30 minutes anyhow. Wow! What a workout! I wasn't expecting it. Walking's my favourite form of exercise, so it was cool to be able to do an 'at home' version, for…

Zoe, your stats are amazing! 8.57% overall so far - woohoo! Lol, I guess those daily challenges were a good thing! XD Everyone else, well done! Slow and steady is what wins the race :) Congratulations to us for changing our habits and our health for better! :D

Would it be possible to eat breakfast as normal (or even earlier?), but then get yourself to work 15-20 early in order to eat your main meal then? That would leave you approx 3-3.5 hours til your break, treat it as a snack break rather than lunch, then after work, before battling the commute home, eat another meal? Then a…

People who amble along with a shopping trolley, down the middle of the aisle, so you can't get around them. O_O I know what I'm after, just let me get in and get out. I'm on a mission here people!!!!!! As far as animals go, dogs are still growing on me. I prefer rodents & lagomorphs as pets. (Guinea pigs and rabbits) :D

Yep! I'm sure there's been more than one surgery. Not a single (individual, one, sole... oh you get the point  ) So, I guess... she's kind not lying?

Whoa! Yeah, that does seem obscenely high! You checked your height/weight measurements and it was in the units you wanted? (Metric vs Imperial?) Otherwise I'm not sure what to suggest.
-
What you could do is change the activity setting in your goals/ profile settings. As a mover, your activity level should be set to "very active". That way you are not having to try to work out the calories burnt for each day, it's already factored in to the daily activity you do. If you do any additional exercise to this,…

I'm 5'8" but my weight is currently at 221 lbs - willing to be a friend, even though I have more lose. My intial goal I am working towards is 200lbs, but long term want to get down to 150lbs, I know I'm a while away from that yet.
-
Why do you need to lose 20 kg before your engagement party? That's a lot of weight to lose, in a short time. Without knowing your height, what you are currently eating, and your activity level, it's very hard to give specific feedback. In general, I would suggest to try to aim for a slower, steadier weight. It's taken me…
