Will exercise help? Of course. Anything you do that raises your heart rate so you're burning calories will be beneficial. However, the only mention I see about diet in your post is at the end about eating healthy. What's eating healthy? You can eat healthy and still eat more calories than you burn, now since you're on MFP…

I've honestly never tracked my sugar. Unless you need to track it for medical issues, I don't really see it affecting weight loss that much in my opinion.

Congrats on the big loss man, it's tough! As for the ideal weight for your height, even though I'm only 5'10" I will say this as a guy coming from a high number like you are... there is always more weight to lose. I too thought, damn there's no way I would need to go under 200lbs at, say 250lbs, I'd look thin. Low and…

The biggest key to successful weightloss is a deficit through exercise.

A month before my 21st birthday (June 11th 2011) I was 370lbs and I was not happy with my life. I had many realizations up to that point but I lacked the mental maturity and strength to figure out and stick with a solution to my problem. I guess you could say me maturing mentally on that day and beyond was it for me.

I search each and every ingredient I use. If I'm making spaghetti, I don't do a search for spaghetti. I'll do a search for AND add the pasta, sauce, and raw meat used etc. That in tandem with a food scale and you can never go wrong.

Usually when I change my diet/exercise routine it will result in some water retention. Give it a few days to subside. Also, eating healthy shouldn't be too expensive... in my opinion. Are you making your own food or are you buying prepackaged "healthy" foods?

You'll be fine, I honestly feel like a lot of people's protein goals on here are usually set a bit too low anyways.

That'd be me! I was always the fat kid in every social setting, and naturally I carried those bad habits into adulthood. A month before my 21st birthday in 2011 I decided I finally needed to take care of this problem. I hit my goal in December of 2012, losing 200lbs going from 370->170. I'm at 186 now since then after…

I started at 370lbs. I started off focusing on moderation, eating a set diet or certain "diet" foods wasn't something I could do or stick with from the start. I worked into it slowly, he's on the right track by being on MFP. Log everything that you eat, as accurately as possible! Foods that he loves to eat WILL still work,…

Shakes and meal replacements are just another form of calories, if it's something you enjoy eating/drinking and it helps you hit your goals... then great! But at the end of the day it's just calories and p/c/f. Protein shakes are definitely useful in hitting your protein goals if you can't do it with actual food... but I…

Finally made some progress recently on these last 10lbs, figured I'd post these to keep myself going and to encourage others (hopefully)!

Yes, losing the weight helped a little but it still freaks me out being around people. I can workout for 90 minutes and still have more energy than I do after being around people for just 30 minutes... it's draining. Not sure if it will honestly get better without professional help, xanax has helped me in the past.

I've lost 199lbs, here's a thread I made a while ago on my old account: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/779415-lost-195lbs-body-face-pics-o

Enjoy every second you're on the field, don't hope for rain or half-*kitten* practice just because it's practice. Oh, and stop eating so much!

Wax the arms, then trim or leave the chest alone.

Left is 320lbs (highest was 370). Right is 175lbs.

Polar FT7 strap is 39" at the highest setting. I got it to stretch all the way to 65 inches.

Male 22 5'10" Starting 370lbs Currently 172lbs Goal 165lbs 20 months Currently eating 2,400 calories for 1lb/wk loss I updated my daily calorie intake along the way Yes, eating back your exercise calories is how MFP is set up. I found creating a deficit through exercise to be the most helpful tool in losing the weight.

Going from not caring at all to caring probably a little bit too much about your appearance. It's turned me in to a perfectionist, I guess it's not a terrible thing but it can suck at times. Instead of rolling out of bed, you can use your arms to pole vault yourself out of it. People do treat you differently, but it's…

Go back to drinking it then! You can lose weight drinking all the diet soda you want.

Maintenance calories minus 20% of that number

Women who need to eat 1200 to lose are either really really short with only a few lbs to lose... or they're not doing it right at all. Usually it's the latter. In any case, I would just exercise harder to eat more. Like I do now.

It probably has something to do with the Photobucket album it's in being private.

A polar is about $60-70. You input your stats into the watch and wear the chest strap, it will tell you your HR and calorie burn on the watch.
-
Buy a HRM and use your heart rate as a gauge to increase/decrease intensity.
