If it is a special day, event, or celebration, then usually, it's just for one meal/day. For me, Thanksgiving and Christmas are special and occur once a year. Same for my birthday. For family birthdays - it's THEIR special day, so I don't feel the need to indulge. Same for a work holiday potluck. I also do NOT waste my…

This is Baxter. He likes to pull me on our walks. I think he says, "move faster, woman" under his breath. Sometimes, I chase him when he has a stick (just to switch up the roles). Then, I'm outta breath.

Hi! I'd appreciate support and will give motivation in return. Need to lose 40lbs.

Today I had mushroom quinoa and london broil.

Yes - for a few items. TJ Garlic and Srihacha BBQ sauce - I put it on almost everything!! Riced cauliflower - although it has been un-orderable for the past month. :disappointed: Thin Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies - it comes in a big tub and is addicting, too! ~14 cookies/130cals not totally bad Shredded brussel sprouts…

Yep. Same here.

Hi there, I think you'll find a lot of 'us' are in the same (or similar) boat. We got to our highest weight and decided to make a change. Good luck with those temptations - I work in an office and we're always having a potluck of some sort. We enjoy chicken-n-waffles and lots of other high fat yummy things. The 'joke' is…

I agree with PP. I used to work (3) 12-hour shifts/week. You need that 4th day just to recover. It's rough. Having said that, people that work 5 days/week (or any other work schedule) have the same struggle. I think it's a strategy (i.e. an excuse to tell yourself you want to, but you don't have time). I know this because…

Roasted veggie anything. We love roasted asparagus, roasted broccoli, roasted brussel sprouts with bacon, roasted carrots (add in parsnips if you like). Season with s/p, garlic powder, crushed red pepper flakes and olive oil. YUM! Twice-baked cauliflower (same flavor profile as twice-baked potatoes) Cauliflower rice…

Leftovers (most often) Frozen meals (last minute, no prep) I have been known to go to Subway and get a 1' and extend it over 2 days. When I'm being really good, I meal prep on Sunday and make 2 different meals (so we don't get tired of eating the same thing for lunch every day). Options like: grilled chicken (If I cook out…

Raising Hand: Southerner here, too! Yum...banana pudding. Would you mind sharing the ~cal count?

Thanks for the tips, esp the elliptical / rowing advice.
-
Has anyone tried this yet? 100 cals / slice - yikes! This is today's Kroger free Friday download.
-
We tried those flavors + the chickpea one. The sweet potato was my favorite. I agree - surprised at the 'big' serving size.

What kind of program would you start someone on if they haven't been in the gym for 15+ years if their goal is to burn calories and gain overall strength? Background: 38yo F, CW: 188, never lost pregnancy weight (50lbs), no history of disease / ailments (i.e. healthy except for the morbid obesity part).

Same here. Need to lose about the same. Feel free to add me as well.

Work in progress b/c I haven't completed my meal plan yet. So far: apples broccoli cauliflower rice ginger garlic scallions asparagus tomatoes lettuce red onion yellow onions green peppers coconut aminos new muffin tin ground turkey milk

Awesome job! WTG! Thanks for the inspiration!

Yesterday, Baxter and I took a 15 minute morning walk + a 37 minute walk in a park. I have no idea miles-wise how far that was. I could tell he enjoyed it...and so did I. This beautiful weather has me inspired! He's almost 10 months and weighs in @ 70lbs, so we want our Lab to stay as healthy as possible...for as long as…

You're right @wizzybeth. It won't work for iPhone either. Maybe if you go premium?

30 minute brisk walk!

This is such a cool idea! My husband and I were just talking about how our pup doesn't get enough exercise.

These are DELICIOUS!!! They are crunchy!! They are a re-purchase! YUM! Side note: directions given to fry or bake. I baked them. Duh. Side note x2: I hope I find the Peppermint cookies at my Trader Joes this weekend!

Trying these tonight! So excited - I hope they're good. Anyone had them?

[quote="Super yummy. This really does taste like a PB&J sandwich. I came so close to buying this one this weekend. Now I wished I had. :frowning:

I tried a couple of *new* things this weekend: The ice cream was good - creamy, but was just pumpkin-y and no cheesecake..190 cals for 1/2c srvg. I only ate a tsp. When I went to TJ's, I couldn't find the Pumpkin cookies someone posted earlier last week - but I did find these two! The crackers have a sesame flavor...very…
