I haven't loss enough weight for people to ask me this YET, but I noticed two things in all of these responses. 1. Most people really want you to say magic fairy dust (insert quick weight-loss method here) is how you lose weight, 2. When I was on WW a lonnnnng time ago, and people asked what I did to lose weight, and I'd…

Today, I had Sweet & Spicy Tuna Taco (Taco Tuesday!) with pico de gallo and an individual serving (bowl) of mac-n-cheese.

That's excellent! Now, you just need a food scale so you can log accurately and do a little planning to help keep you on track. This will help you find ways to include a nice craft beer (or 2) into your daily calorie goals!

Motivation will only get you so far. So, you'll have to start adding in a few other things, like: determination, consistency, persistence and patience. It's tough, life is life and gets in the way. Everyone has a busy life, a busy job, a busy 'x'. You have to make time for exercising or choosing to eat within your calorie…

+1 I agree with you, it's very irritating!

I'm in the same range as you. I tend to have 40% of my calories for dinner. Sometimes, that includes a drink or a nighttime snack, but not always. I think it's mostly because I'm not sure (haven't calculated/weighed) what I'll make for dinner, so I like to have a little buffer.

I second that advice. The "generic" or homemade options in MFP database aren't very reliable because they are put in by users so only they know how they prepared it, etc. I would create a recipe in MFP and then portion it out to determine how many calories are in your burger.
+3 You've gotten really good advice.…

Yes, ma'am! If I put it into my mouth, I log it. Besides, mayo is one of my favorites...and not the low cal stuff either. Another favorite that doesn't have nearly as many calories and tastes super yummy is http://www.traderjoesreviews.com/product/trader-joes-sriracha-garlic-bbq-sauce-reviews/ - best sauce EVER!
-
Trader Joe's has the best sriracha BBQ garlic sauce. I put it on just about everything. It's 25 cals per tablespoon. I'm not sure if you have one in your area, but if so, try it! Here's a link: http://www.traderjoesreviews.com/product/trader-joes-sriracha-garlic-bbq-sauce-reviews/

Alright, stop what cha doin' cuz I'm about to ruin, the style and the image that you're used to...lol Love that song! I'll send you a friend request.

300 cals are usually my breakfast/lunches: greek yogurt + granola = 240cals Grits (I'm from the South) + bacon = 230cals English muffin + cream cheese + turkey sausage = 222cals Crap Soup + crackers = 378cals Grilled chicken salad = 321cals Grilled chicken sandwich (Wendy's) = 370cals Tuna salad open-faced sandwich =…

Hummus + pretzels (or celery or peppers or carrots, etc.) Tuna (I like the sweet & spicy one) in the pouch + a few crackers lean meats - (Sometimes, I grill enough for my lunches for the week) Mini pizza (1/2 English muffin, 1tsp marinara sauce +a couple of pepperoni's) Broccoli slaw (s/p/garlic powder + 1tsp olive oil)…

Please share the recipe! It looks yummy. I can't get my crustless quiches below ~250cals...probably because of the cheese.

I make an egg bake on the weekend, so all we have to do is re-heat for a few seconds in the microwave. It's kind of like a crustless quiche. Eggs + bacon + cheese + jalapeños = YUM! Just bake it in the oven, 350, for about 20 minutes. I've also changed up the ingredients and have used spinach, mushroom, sausage. Sautéed…

Since you live in a rural area, are you able to purchase your eggs from a local farm? The price of eggs in the grocery store seem to have gone up quite a bit and that may be able to give you more bang for your buck. Also, maybe you could use your talents (sewing) and barter for other stuff like cuts of meat. I know that's…

Agree with PP's; it's personal preference. I eat about 20% of my calories for breakfast, about 25% for lunch, about 40% for dinner. I use the rest for snacks and/or spirits!
-
+1 I usually have similar breakfasts/lunches and know, calorie-wise, a range I want to stay within. I like to keep the bulk of my calories for dinner, so I can include an adult beverage.

I've seen tons of cauliflower rice recipes. Is it really that good? Does it really taste like rice? How long does it store in the fridge?
-
Open faced tuna sammich. Sweet and spicy tuna pouch with mayo and relish. Oh and a piece of string cheese.
-
Leftover Chicken Philly sandwich (homemade). Yum! That's it. Didn't realize until after I put it into the recipe builder the other night that it packs 800mg sodium! Only ~430 calories, but yikes on the sodium.

Or I could be unfriendly to the environment and grab a plastic spoon out of our work's break area. :grimace:

I think I like @DeguelloTex's idea better. Ha!

Go ahead and count them out and put them in baggies, then they are easy access and the only way you'll eat too much is if you grab another bag, lol.
At Sam's Club, they have individual bags of them. I think it's a 24 count. 1/2 are the chips, 1/2 are the straws.
-
Oohhhh. I forgot about them. Yum!!

Take it 1 step at a time. When I feel down on myself for not losing or self-defeated, I go to the success stories forum here. Those people are me. I'm the 'before' shot. If they can do it, I can do it. I've learned a positive mindset will overcome A LOT!! Enter your data into this link and it will give you a good indicator…

If you try one you like, please come back and share!

Thanks for all the suggestions! I also like the red pepper slices and cucumber idea; I'll have to try those! @fatgirlclub - I've tried those with it and they are really good. Problem is, it becomes a 220-230cal snack instead of ~100-150cals. If the other suggestions don't work out, looks like I'll have to go back eating…

My kcal goal ~1400. Breakfasts usually consist of my coffee + greek yogurt and granola or (this week) grits + 2 slices bacon Lunches: varies; leftovers, homemade lunchables (crackers + cheese + deli meat), salad, sandwich + fruit or chips/goldfish. Last week, I made soup on the weekend and then portioned it out every day…
