You look fabulous. Flaunt it!

A bigger-- oh nevermind!
-
Ooh, really? I hope so. I already do those.

What is the crosstrainer, please? Is it the same as an eliptical machine?
-
Those would be some sneaky people!

Let's not forget age! Ladies, as we age it becomes harder to lose weight, which tends to settle around our middles. I am 5'5", 146, trying to get to 130, and I usually net around 1300/day, BUT I am 61 and the pounds come off veeerrry sloooowly.

Not chubby exactly but large-- Jason Segel. Love him.
-
That's interesting. How did you cure the arthritis in your knees?

"If you're not hungry enough to eat an apple, you're not hungry." Words to live by.

I love working out with kettlebells. Just sayin'. Helpful discussion!

Pick a low fat ice cream of your choice and fill a half cup measure for 120 cals. That sounds like nothing and a half cup measuring cup looks laughably small but when you transfer it to a bowl, it is quite enough. I have a date every night with Friendly's Pistachio....

How is it that so many people don't realize she is asking this cuz she's on the metric system?
-
What do you mean by that?
-
Um, many people came here eating 2000-2500, so it probably wouldn't help them lose pounds, even tho' it works for you. We are all different-- not snowflakes, just different: sizes, ages, starting weights, activity levels, etc.

Yeah but oatmeal has some benefits which this doesn't have. I mean cauliflower is good for you but it doesn't clear out your cholesterol or stick to your ribs....

Cannellini beans, garlic sauteed in olive oil, and rosemary. Mash up and spread on toasted whole wheat pita points. (I don't care for chickpeas at all.)
-
Yep. I know I would drop it on my head, so better a 10 pound than a 20 pound.

Wait are you kidding me? It's incorrect to say "tone" but "tone up" is perfectly fine with you? Where are you, Australia? I have never in my entire long life heard anyone speak of "toning UP" muscles in my part of the word. Maybe these fine points are just a distraction when MFP has members from all over the world.

Half a baked potato topped with salsa! Yum and not bad for ya.

Yeah, I agree. Since logging and staying below or close to my limit for over 4 months, my latest "binges" are ridiculously mild when I actually log them.
-
And how old are you? Your shape doesn't bounce back at 40 the way it does at 30 or 20. You young people think everyone has, or should have, the exact same experience as you. When you have more experience you will find that isn't true.

Good for wine-making the old fashioned way.

It's funny about bananas. They are featured in almost every "yummy" (taken with a grain of salt) low-cal "treat" in the recipe section. No smoothies-- I am not a baby, I chew my food. No liver. No mushrooms (or any fungi). No soda. No things I hate.

You can also make delicious quick chili with lentils. Also- Greek yogurt!

Noticed something here: ladies- helpful, men- not helpful.

Sometimes (OK every night) after I "complete" my logging day, I eat a few tbsp of marshmallow Fluff.

It's my policy to only make single-serving treats. So I was thinking about this recipe and suddenly I had an idea-- mug cake! I don't keep self-rising flour around because: why? So I mixed 1/4 c. pistachio ice cream with some whole wheat flour and a little baking powder. Then I nuked it for most of 2 minutes. It wasn't…

One word: senna tea. You'll thank me!

Wow. Screw 30 day shred. I want THAT!

If you happen to see any film footage of regular people in the 1950's, 60s, 70s, it becomes immediately apparent that our standards have changed. They look so uniformly skinny to today's eyes. Remember how Ralph Cramden was supposedly so fat? Take another look at him-- just slightly overweight. Personally, I don't think…
