I am sorry.,, I just have to say., this isn't healthy or diet food. In my own opinion.,,, getting away totally from this type of food and focusing on clean eating. Like low sodium low cal low fat., fresh foods.,, It's a mindset. Redoing high fat favorites doesn't help Just my opinion. Go ahead.,, crucify me

I Agree with no processed or restaurant food. I am only allowed a ridiculous small amount if sodium per day ( high blood pressure) so I measure that out each day and add it by hand to my homecooked foods. Voila!!! I even have some left over sometimes.

I just saw this on my facebook and I have to say it does not seem healthy or lo fat to me. All that cheese and sodium from the ham pepperoni and sausage would kill me. But that's just me.

Gluten had a huge impact in my swollen belly. I am not gluten free as I have no allergy ., but I do notice when I eat gluten rich products. I swelbup like a 6 month pregnant woman. Rice and beans. Dried beans and generic bag of rice ( get brown rice if u can). They take a while to cook from scratch, but I don't think there is a cheaper, healthier food source. Add some vegetable or a few pieces of a cheap cut of meat.

I am on the low sodium bandwagon too. Found out just yesterday a large tortilla has almost 500 mg of sodium. Yikes! I did not know that. It's hard to give up that oh so familiar salty goodness. Sorry no help with recipes...I will keep looking.

How do can vegetables have more nutrition than fresh? I thought they had a lot of sodium and preservatives. Even low sodium ones have more salt than fresh. Curious

Also just had the idea to weigh out how much salt I can have a day. I rarely eat out., I cook pretty much everything from scratch. If I see how much I have,, well that's it for the day. Thanks again for all the tips. I have been using the search function like crazy today!

Ha! I made a roast chicken today too. I also made a pot of homemade black beans. A pot of rice. and steamed assorted veg. I will use all this for the next 4 or 5 days or so to make many meals.
