Subways avocado topping

I know some of you eat subway subs. I tried the turkey avocado yesterday and had the worst bloating / trouble all afternoon, night and into today. Have you tried the avocado there? Do they use a lot of preservatives in the avocado to keep it green? I've had turkey sandwiches without any issues prior to this.... Just curious. I can rule everything else out since it stuff i normally eat whereas subway is not. It was a craving

thanks for the link, It could very well have been something else with preservatives or such that gave me such an issues:frown:
I guess I'll stick to making my own lunch from now on, As often happens, it just didn't taste as good as it sounded :laugh:0 -

Ascorbic acid is just a form of vitamin C. So no worries there.
EDIT: It'll probably be the ascorbic acid which is keeping it green - it's an anti-oxidant, and browning is due to oxidation. It's just the same trick as rubbing lemon juice on the cut face to prevent browning.0 -
Don't know the answer to your question about bloating....but in terms of keeping it green...
I don't know if subway does the same thing...but I used to work at a Mexican restaurant and learned that they keep the pit in the mix because it keeps the guacamole from turning brownI use the same trick at home now. So they could be doing that, possibly.
