  • Thank you!! I am glad that I can be an inspiration to someone! I can do a ton of push ups on my toes but am still struggling with the pull ups. I did do four yesterday but really struggled with the last one :)
  • I have a Polar FT4 and love it!
  • Thanks for the post. I love Tosca!!
  • I just finished my first round of P90X classic. I substituted running for my cardio days- I say make the program work for you. How many days do you have the class? I got up and first thing in the morning did my workouts and then got ready for work. Can you do your P90X in the morning and then it wouldn't interfere with the…
  • You can use almonds, string cheese, protein bars (I like pure protein), apples, and protein shake fruit smoothies for some meals. I also eat this way, you can check out my diary but you will have to go back prior to Friday because I have been of work since then and due to holidays stuff have not been on schedule. I fix my…
  • I am 31 and 5'2". My current weight is 112.8. My highest weight was between 173-175 when I was pregnant. I reached that weight with both pregnancies. After my last one seven years ago, I have been up and down on the scales getting down to 120s then back up to 150s and then settled around 130s for a long time. I found…
  • I also follow 40% carbs, 30% protein, and 30% fat and has worked well for me. I totally here you about the top half looking great but needin work on the bottom half. I'm pretty happy with my top but am still a work in progress on the bottom. I am wondering if you are eating enough if you are working out that much. I am at…
  • Thank you!! Congrats on completing your first half marathon - that is fabulous!
  • I never finished 30 day shred, I got bored and it hurt my knees. You do not do the same thing every day with P90X. There are 3 phases. During the first three weeks of phase 1 you do the same workouts (6 different ones) for three weeks and then have a recovery week. Then phase 2 you have 2 new weight workouts for three…
  • Thanks April! You should really take pictures before you start because you probably won't notice the changes and get discouraged. At least this is what I did when I thought nothing was happening. The pictures are another thing that keeps me motivated to continue. Measurements are another thing important - I rely on his…
  • Thank you! I saw your pictures not too long ago and your results were awesome!! Keep up the great work! :)
  • Thank you - I know it wasn't a huge "transformation" but I was proud of myself for committing to a program for 90 days and finishin it. Good luck with your P90X journey - if you find you like the lifting days you should definitely try the classic program. I did the classic.
  • Thank you! P90X did not hurt my knees, not even the plyo which I did worry about. I guess the Turbo Fire did because of the jumping and twisting every single day.
  • Thank you! I needed to gain muscle because I was still pretty flabby/unshaped when I finished Turbo Fire. I didn't shape my bottom half as much as I would have liked so this is why I going another round, plus I discovered that I LOVE lifting weights! I also meant to say in my original post that I started out not being able…
  • Me too. I feel like I eat pretty clean but definitely have better days some days than others. I still get chocolate cravings and slip up and eat out some. I have noticed though that when I eat fast food it just isn't as tasty as it used to be. My food diary is open but be warned I am simple and eat plain things.
  • It is sooo hard to see changes in yourself which is why I definitely say take pictures along your way. If you are like me you look at yourself everyday and so I can only see changes if I look at my progress pictures. Keep up the good work!
  • Congrats, you are doing great!!! I am finishing up my last week of P90X and this whole last month I replaced the cardio days with running too.
  • I workout at home 6 days a week and have one rest day. For now I am doing the weightlifting parts of P90X on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I run the other 3 days. This is my last week of P90X though and I don't know what I'm going to do next yet.
  • I'm not saying you're wrong, but I thought that exercise also jump starts your metabolism if done first thing in the morning. I have always exercised and then ate breakfast due to rime constraints in the morning and have had no problem with a slow metabolism. Again I'm not saying you are wrong. This is just what I have…
  • I do the same as you, but drink a little water before starting and plenty during exercise. On the weekends, however, I have the time so I eat and once it settles I work out.
  • I agree! It is awesome! I am one week away from completing my 90 days. I have 30 day shred and tried it but it did nothing for me but hurt my knees since it was the same thing every single day. There is also something called Supreme 90 that you can buy at the dollar store (of all places!) for $20 and it is based on muscle…
  • But you aren't doing at least 1200 if you don't eat those calories you burn when exercising. Your net should be at least 1200 calories and if you are at a stand still with weight loss I would try to eat more for a few weeks and see if it helps.
  • Awe thanks! I saw that you are 5'1" and 134.5. I am 5'2" and started at 132 and like you started at 1200 cal and was afraid to eat back calories burned during exercise. I was hungry!! I started eating them all or close to all back and still list weight and wasn't hungry anymore :) your body needs food (fuel) to run and…
  • I think yes in the long run in will plateau. I you have a lot to lose you can get away with eating low cal for awhile, but as you get closer to your goal you definitely need more food.
  • With that much exercise I hope you are netting at least 1200 calories and not just eating 1200 and not eating back what you burn.
  • You should do it! It works!! I am much stronger now than before - couldn't do any pull ups on my own before and now can do four unassisted. May not sound like much but is huge to me :) and I have lots more definition now.

  • Fabulous work!! I quit worrying about the scale too. I love the muscle I have built and that it what changes your body and the way you look. The scale can go down but you have to like what you see and weights do that for me :)
