Think I'll be keeping my goals steady at eating at TDEE - 15%, continue with my heavy lifting and make sure my ear buds are in and my music is loud today when I go to the gym.

He didn't say, and when I questioned him I was told , lets just focus on decreasing the calories right now and reassess when you've done that.

Thanks. I had planned on having an intake around 1550-1700- which should be a small deficit - and not worrying about calories burned so long as I got in my workouts.

No, he suggested I lose 1 lb/week for 6-8 weeks. I'm 119.5 now.....so if I lose that much I'll be 112. Not my goal. I like me at 118-120, I just want to be stronger and toned, and build up a great butt (:

He is exercise physiologist. I am an RN- we've probably got the same amount of "schooling" in nutrition. I've weighed 112 before it ain't pretty. All ribs and hip bones.

Thank you. I don't mind my weight, he has my weight goal set that low "to achieve the look" as he says. I just want to get stronger and look good regardless of the scale. I'm tired of the scale determining my day.

I thought I was doing great by lifting heavier with each work out and not gaining weight even though I was eating 300-700 calories more than I have in 5 years. Also, when he says 1300-1500 that is gross/total cals not net. My personal goal this week is to not weigh, and eat TDEE-15% and kick *kitten* at the gym.

I love lifting. It is the best motivation when you are able to complete more reps than the last work out and increase the weight. Real goals that you can improve on with every work out. Trust me- if feels awesome. Would he go to the gym with you to be your workout buddy and show you the different lifts?

I'm 5'3.5" I had gotten up to 173....thankfully I don't own any of those pictures. For the past 5 years I've fluctuated between 112-132. I've made these changes recently and it has been incredible. Lifting more weight is ten times more satisfying than watching tiny numbers on the scale go down.... and my body is already looking stronger and leaner.
