I love to grill a big batch of chicken tenderlions at the beginning of the week. I'll heat up about three and put them on top of a salad or eat with some steamed veggies and some hot sauce. I usually find packs of them marked down and will throw them in the freezer and pull out as I need it. I can get around 3 lbs chicken…

Welcome to MFP! 42 here. Your welcome to add me too!

My husband and I have been together 20+ years. We eat the same thing, he just has bigger portion sizes. Unless its Mexican food, then its game on for me. But seriously, there is no food you need to eliminate or not eat, just eat within your calorie goal and he eats within his. ETA: When we were younger and in…

I agree with the others that you would be fine. We have had that happen before. My husband and I would still eat/drink the food but I would probably not give it to my kids. If your unsure you could still at least cook something to use up the milk/yogurts. The other stuff would be fine.

I have had two c-sections (12 & 10 yrs ago). I was at a healthy weight before pregnancy and got back to my pre-pregnancy weight pretty quick. My main form of exercise during and shortly after pregnancy was walking. Now I do a combo of DVD workouts (mostly Jillian Michaels) and weight training. My OBGYN doctor just…

My kids always loved their fruits, veggies, grilled chicken, etc. when they were toddlers. Get them involved in the grocery shopping. Have them pick out different fruits and vegetables in the produce section. Let them wash them and help with the age appropriate preparation of the food. You can still have the cookies,…

I just did the first workout for BodyShred (Launch) and really enjoyed it! I found it online on dailymotion.com. There were a few other workouts from Bodyshred on there I am going to try before I buy the set. I hope everyone is still enjoying the workouts! Great job!!

Have you ever tried Orzo pasta? Barilla sells it in a small box. Its shaped like a large piece of rice, but its pasta. I have a recipe which is similar to rice-a-roni that has rice and orzo. Its so good! If you check Allrecipes.com you can probably find the basic recipe. I like to use low sodium chicken broth and then add…

You could always watch Sesame Street. They have characters of all shapes and sizes.

The majority of my exercise comes from doing Jillian's Micheal's videos at home. I love Banish Fat Boost Metabolism, No More Trouble Zones and Six Week Six Pack. The 30 Day Shred is a great way to start a program too. All of those can be found online too. HTH!

Ditch the Beachbody programs/shakes, etc and use MFP, a HRM, and a food scale. Use the money you have been spending on the Beachbody stuff and gets some weights you can use at home. You can save so much time by working out at home, therefore still being able to spending time with your husband at night. You can still go to…

Another vote for Chicken tacos. Love tacos!

Love Beyonce (smack it in the air) Flo Rida (anything) Iggy (Beg For It) I also like the remix "This girl is on fire" with Alicia Keys and Nicki Minaj. I'm going to have to check out that song "Juicy Wiggle". lol

We love roasted brussel sprouts. Yum! So good. My kids love them. Broccoli and asparagus are great too. ETA: I forgot about Kale. It is so good roasted too!

I agree. I would probably tell the front office so they can be the ones to tell the neighbors about any noise ordinance. There is probably not a loud enough fan to muffle a scream like the one OP mentioned. lol
-
They do this every weekday night? wow...impressive. Maybe try a fan on your night stand to help muffle the noise. I have to sleep with a fan on every night. We always take one with us to a hotel too. I just like the fan noise so we don't hear every little sound.

Donate your bigger sizes so they are not in your closet. If your new clothes start feeling tight, eat a little less and exercise a bit more. At your height and weight you may very well be in a size 6 now, depending on the brand. I'm 5'8 (140 lbs) and wear a size 4/6 depending on the brand. My point was, go out and do some…

First, congrats on the weight loss. Why not just go to the store and try on a size 8 and see if it fits. I agree with the poster above, don't worry so much about clothing size, just be proud of what you have accomplished so far and wear whatever size you feel good in.

It doesn't matter your age, anyone can wear a bikini and be confident. I'm 42 and looking forward to wearing my bikini again this summer!

Love it!! You look great!! Wear that bikini and be proud!

Love your attitude! Wear that bikini and be proud! You look great!! I agree about having a bit of a tan. Jergen's has a moisturizer that gives you gradual color. It's just enough where it gives you a little bit of color without being orange. I used some this week since its shorts weather now. Plus, I am over 40 now…

Mexican food and a cold beer.

I know a lot of people have more knowledge than me on this subject, but that sounds right to me too. What this does is set you up to lose weight gradually and be able to maintain your weight loss once you switch to maintenance. Eating the proper amount of calories will also give you the energy you need for your workouts.…

Loving the 40's too! If you know that jogging and lifting weights are your thing, then go for it. You don't need a gym if there is not one close to you. Get some weights for home and start pounding the pavement. You can do it!
-
Congrats on your weight loss! That is awesome! 30DS is a great way to get started on a exercise routine. I personally love Jillian's workouts. I like how she combines cardio and weights to her programs. You can find the 30DS online, along with a lot of her other workouts. My favorites are Banish Fat Boost Metabolism, No…

At least you didn't get pulled over by a cop again.

I thought that 1560 sounded really low for maintenance for you. I am 5'8", 140lbs (42 yrs old) and maintain around at 2000 cals. Not sure if 3000 is correct but seems more accurate than 1500. Try scoobysworkshop.com. They also have some good calculators to help get a good idea of what maintenance would be for you.
