  • You can count me in that group as well. I don't like how it's organized.
  • I had knee surgery at the end of March and I haven't been able to do much in the way of exercise besides 10 to 20 minute walks and my physio. I also had a cadrio incident that's holding me back a bit as well. Since April 10th, I've lost 8.4 lbs and inches so your answer is yes.
  • Benadryl makes a cream that helps stop itching. I use it for bug bites when they start to itch. I had eczema as a kid so I know how frustrating being itchy can be. Good luck.
  • About 3 years ago I did the 17 day diet. You start off for 17 days doing low carbs. The next 17 days you bring in foods with a bit more carbs. The next 17 days even more carbs. If you're done losing weight, you go to maintenance. If you not done, you start back at step 1. There are other things you do along with it, like…
  • LMAO - I couldn't stop laughing when I read about that cleanse.

  • Makes me want to find my old Michael Jackson records. I won't be doing any of that on the treadmill though.
  • Jchrisman - where did you get them. I take sleeping pills but I always wake up once or twice during the night.
  • I walked 10 minutes yesterday. Mind you, I had a knee scope about a month ago and heart issues about 3 weeks ago. I think I'm doing good.

  • I log my salad dressing, oils and mustard. I don't log spices.
  • This happened to me as well for about 6 months, always texts to the same person and it would splice half a recent text with half a very old text. It was weird, i don't know why it happened and i don't know why it stopped. Must be some kind of text leprechaun or something, probably the ones also responsible for the…
  • I also find if I limit my grains my weight is easier to control. When I was a baby, I had a glutton problem. Not a celiac, but the pediatrician told my Mom to take it out of my diet. It makes me wonder what real effect it has on me.
  • A recent 4.5 day stay on the cardiac floor of my local hospital. It certainly was an eye-opener. I need to lose about 40 lbs to be a healthy BMI.
  • I've had no problem with it. As others have said above make sure the correct ingredients are getting logged and that you figure out the number of servings.
  • How about try for 1.5 lbs a week and see how you feel.
  • Sometimes a person's handicap isn't visible. I just had a knee scope done and I do have knee issues that will never go away. It is hard to sit (yes with covering the seat) on the shorter toilets so if it is available I may use the handicap stall. My mother has the opposite problem. She finds the handicap toilets too tall.
  • I'd like to second what Teralie said. Thank you for posting the articles. I found Momma_Grizz's article particularly interesting. I knew cortisol played a big role in general fat storage, but I didn't realize how it interacted with hormones. A lot to think about.
  • I think you guys would get a kick out of this, if you haven't seen it already: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3FTHSH0UNRHOH/ref=cm_cr_dp_title?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B008JELLCA&nodeID=16310101&store=grocery I can never make it through without laughing.[/quote] Thanks for the laugh! My stomach still hurts - from laughing not from any…
  • I am so sorry for your loss. Health issues brought me back. A 4.5 day stay on the cardiac floor of our local hospital one week after having knee surgery made me realize I need to do something. The ortho surgeon repaired my torn meniscus and the cardiologist said there was no damage from what I had. I was very lucky. I…
  • Listen to your body. I started doing this last year tracking with a Fitbit. Now I'm recovering from surgery that repaired a torn meniscus.
  • Well done! You look great!
  • I just had knee surgery and then had complications which ended me on the cardiac floor of my local hospital. The diagnosis is good. With rest I will get better. It certainly made me open my eyes and realize I need to eat healthier and get rid of 40 lbs. A fresh start for me.
  • I had my third one put in about 2 months ago. There was a lapse between the 2nd and the 3rd one being put in because the doctor thought I was in menopause. The 10 lbs I have gained since the last one was put in are not due to the Mirena. They are due to me not eating properly and not exercising as much as I use to. The one…
  • I cook some oatmeal and right now I'm adding homemade stewed rhubarb to it. Once that's cooked, I'll add some 0% Greek yogurt. I do add a small amount of Truvia to the rhubarb when I make it. When rhubarb isn't in season, I'll add homemade applesauce.
  • Approximately $144/month. I do two pilates class a week outside of what I do at home. I love it, it's helping so I'm not giving it up.
  • I'm 51 and I find that limiting carbs helps when I need to kick start the loss again. So cut out breads, pasta, etc. and then gradually add them back in. Regarding the hair loss, since you've seen your doctor, I'm assuming you are getting enough vitamins and minerals so I am at a loss there. That was my problem a few years…
  • Sounds good. What type of herbs do you put in?
  • Good morning from Southern Ontario!

  • I started Pilates in January and I love it. I have found the stomach muscles I thought were lost forever. I go twice a week, once on the reformer and one matt class. I did matt yesterday and while I'm sitting here typing this the next morning, my muscles are telling me I did a good workout yesterday. When working on the…
