I'm just going to complete the B210K programme on Thursday this week. There's 5 weeks of running - the first 4 weeks are a single podcast repeated 3 times and week 5 is three different runs with each getting a little longer than the last (much like the end of C25K). The podcasts are pretty basic - just a 5 minute warm up -…

"A jogger is just a runner lacking confidence" ^THIS^ Totally! As a new runner (of around 4 months now) it's amazing when you realise what you thought was a "jog" was actually a "run" getting up its confidence!

Sincere congratulations! As a fellow C25K graduate I know that amount of work that goes into that 5K. And, excellent time for your first race.
-
Wow! Excellent job!
-
What an inspiration!

Truly inspirational. You've done exactly what I'm trying to do. Congratulations on your results and, particularly, on all your hard work.

And, here in the UK at the moment we have the wonderful Hartleys Low Calorie Jelly in various flavours with only 10 calories (yes, 10!) per 175g pot.

I love it when this happens! Also, I love it when, on very rare occasions, this happens at work with a colleague of mine. Laughing until one of us has to leave the room!

I recently reached by half way goal (having lost about 26Kg) and gave myself a treat as a reward. My wife and I decided we'd have Indian/Bangladeshi takeaway. As a one off (after 3 or 4 months logging) I tried to eat "light" for most of the day and just didn't count that night's food. At my half way point I've proved to…

Another recommendation for C25K here. I did the UK NHS one and can highly recommend it. When I started I hadn't run since school days. I graduated C25K about 2 or 3 weeks ago and, whilst not the speediest bloke on the block, I've been doing 5K in around 28 minutes - an achievemennt I couldn't have guessed at a few weeks…

I want to get my weight and fitness back to the level it was when I was 18 (so back_to_18)!
-
Yep! ^THIS^ Totally. Don't let others spoil your enjoyment of what you've accomplished.

Another Brit here. 40's male. Yorkshire. Welcome to the site - it really is great (I've just had my 80th day on here) and the people really are wonderful and very supportive and helpful.

I've been using http://www.nhs.uk/LiveWell/c25k/Pages/couch-to-5k.aspx Never run in about 25 years until I started this - just finished week 7. It really does work.

Welcome to the site Anastasia. I've been here around 55 days and found that there's some wonderful people on here who are more than willing to offer help and advice. Since joining the site I've lost 36lbs so it's definitely worth a try! Feel free to "friend" me and I'm sure you'll soon hear from lots of other people in…

Good for you L! This is a great site with perhaps more females than males but everyone is very friendly and helpful. Welcome to the site feel free to friend me if you like. I'm male, 46, from the UK with about 34Kg to loose.
-
I HAVE to try this tomorrow!
-
And I'm up in North Yorkshire!
-
Excellent! That's exactly how I'm trying to think. Every day I don't eat a load of unhealthy stuff is a victory and another step on the way to my goal weight. Keep it up - you're doing great and are an inspiration to others.

Well done! I've done week 3/day 2 this morning and really enjoyed it. I think C25K has given me the confidence to try other fitness things as well (like cycling and the gym). Through back/hip/knee problems I'd pretty much given up hope of ever being fit again but, over the last month, I'm starting to see some improvement.…

Good for you! I had my first visit to a gym for about 30 years last week. Like you I loved it. There's so many ways to exercise - so unlike the last time I was in a gym when it was all sweaty men and crashing weights!
-
Hi Nicky, I'm Keith from North Yorkshire. 19lb lost so far - 85lb to go! Also just joined the gym last week! I'm also doing the NHS Choices Couch to 5K programme (starting week 3 on Monday) and, after a 30 year break, have started cycling again (12 miles yesterday). Feel free to "friend" me (particularly anyone from the…

Count me in - 86lb to go!

Hi Everyone, I'm from North Yorkshire!

Good for you! I too have two daughters although mine are only young. However, I too can see how my own view of eating can affect them and, as such, they are one of the reasons that I'm hoping to loose around 95 pounds! Add me if you want - I'm more than happy to help others as much as this site is helping me.
