  • Link's broken anyway.
  • My experience was that it was better to lift and do some cardio on my non-lifting days. I've found that lifting has shaped my body more along the lines that I wanted while cardio did not. Cardio did help me create a caloric deficit and lose weight, but it did not give me the physical appearance that I wanted. That said,…
  • Don't know the answer to that, but to be sold in the US it is required to be listed that way no matter where it's manufactured... and this product is available in the US according to google.
  • I don't believe it. Ingredients are required to be listed by order of volume by law.... and the first ingredient is sugar cane, yet the nutrition information label lists no sugars... so... it's all messed up. Wouldn't trust it.
  • Before I had premium and turned that off, I would just edit the calories to say "1" instead of the crazy numbers it would give me.
  • It's actually not bad. It's a balanced diet, has less protein than i'd like, doesn't hardly taste at all... What about it worries you? *note: I'm not a regular user, but I've tried some from each new iteration of the product.
  • Does that mean you only eat vegan leftovers? Or scavenged vegan food? ;)
  • Nope. If your goal is weight loss, it's overall calories that matter while total nutrition comes from a combination of macro and micro nutrient intake. Fruit is a great source of micro-nutrients. Many people, especially those without a medical reason to monitor sugar intake, choose not to track sugar (myself included) and…
  • I'm a big fan of seitan. Not everyone can eat gluten, but for those that can, it's a great protein source with minimal carbs. *ETA: Pure gluten is 75 grams of protein per 100 grams. Seitan varies based on ingredients. My recipe is 26grams of protein and 7 of carbs per 100 grams (most of that is water weight from…

  • Saved me a fortune. I literally went from living paycheck to paycheck, to having a life by not eating at restaurants except on special occasions.
  • http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/categories/success-stories You might try the success section of the forums.
  • It's just food. There's no real concern over timing for the vast majority of people. For many, it's just a means of assisting them in hitting their overall protein goals. Myself, I take a powder/shake when I'm in too much of a rush to cook, just need an additional 20ish grams of protein in my day, or whenever I feel like…
  • I take D because I'm deficient, any high quality brand will suffice. I take a multi because they are cheap enough, so why not. I take anything else I get for free from work because I like free stuff. As long as it's water soluble, I don't worry. Would I take anything more than D and a multi if I had to pay for it? No...…

  • So... I lied. My SO bought this and I did try it. Uncanny. Made me uncomfortable eating it, how uncanny it was.
  • You obviously haven't been involved in many of the conversations around here... no worries though. There is a vast and varied difference of opinion in many instances, and the reason that I created this thread was to hopefully move one of the arguments about this topic into a place built for that as opposed to derailing…
  • CICO is an energy balance equation, you don't really "do it" so much as you eat and workout in a way that makes the math work for you. I'm guessing that you don't actually need to exercise more than 1300 calories a day. I'm guessing that you just need to eat around 500 calories less than you burn on a daily basis. I'd…
  • I find that it only works for me with GPS enabled and even then, only for some restaurants.
  • That's perfect, lol. For my cats it's melon and broccoli that they will fight me over.
  • There are lots of Vegetarians and vegans around, but it seems that most tend to stick to the groups. Here's a link to the most active plant based group I've found 'round these parts: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/45-happy-herbivores
  • If you go to the FieldRoast website, they have a store locator that you can use to tell you the nearest store that they know is carrying their product.
  • I find that they are all pretty high in sodium. You either get used to it if you eat them alone like I do, or you add them as ingredients to things to cut it down. My overall sodium intake is quite high, but based on the volume of water I drink and the climate I live in, my doctor has never expressed concern, and he is…
  • For me it's french fries and mayo as an after dinner snack, and follow that up with dairy free ice cream. I do this most every day when I'm not being a slacker and I'm actually lifting on schedule. Edited to add dairy free since it is.
  • This was awesome. I'm just trying to picture a person vindictively eating plants because they hate them so much. Edited because I found a better comic.
  • I'm a fan of FieldRoast as well as BeyongMeat and Tofurky, all are pretty good, but then again, I also make my own seitan and eat about 4lbs of that a week in addition to tofu and tempeh as well.
  • I eat the lightlife regularly, but I think they taste horrible, to be honest. I just eat them because they are cheaper and lower calorie than others.
  • Live in Frederick here, howdy all you low oxygen adapted peeps.
  • These are mine... been my favorites since I got them. http://aftershokz.com/products/bluez-2s
  • Field Roast are the best, in my opinion. http://fieldroast.com/product/frankfurters/ You might also consider making your own. Here's a great recipe: http://vegandad.blogspot.com/2008/03/homemade-sausages.html
  • I find that most packaged, dried pasta in the US does not contain eggs. As @MakePeasNotWar stated, it's usually the fresh pasta made on site in places that I have to watch out for.
