Uh... they do. It's called scaling. I'm 47 years old, weigh 230 lbs (having lost 100), and started lifting in October. I deadlift 285. (It's actually kinda low, since I squat 330). I'm really sorry you have decided to sell yourself short. But convincing others to also sell themselves short won't change that.

Just stay out of Planet Fitness.

I've done Crossfit-style workouts for a while now. This week, I've started using a Crossfit box's WODs for part of my workout. I don't recommend it, though, unless you've had some training in Olympic lifts.

Lift heavy and eat more.

I run half-naked even when it's 40 (below that, I put layers on). And I am always surprised when I see other runners wearing such heavy clothes.

The base program is free, but you will get all sorts of emails trying to get you to buy something. He has to make a living somehow.

You can lose weight just by cutting calories. If that's all that matters, then you don't need to ever get sweaty. If you decide, however, that you'd actually like to be healthy, then just get over your dislike of sweat.

I would suggest Couch to 5k but that requires 3 days a week.

Zip lines also have a weight limit. I know I was too heavy for one place this last summer.

The cheapest around me is $80 for 3 classes a week. $160-$200 is the going rate for unlimited classes. Way too pricey for me.

I've just started using a roller to warm up as well as work out any soreness. Love it.

Duct tape.

My bad. I didn't read it all.

Health_gal hates Crossfit but has never tried it. Log it as circuit training.

Definitely check your breathing. And try warming up beforehand by doing the movements with a very light barbell or even with a broom handle.

Biggest Loser Weight Loss Yoga or Bob Harper's Yoga for the Warrior. Same response I give each day when someone else asks the same question.

I love my rebounder, but mainly use it for slamming a 20 lb medicine ball. With a good slam, I can get the ball on the roof. I guess it's OK for that other stuff, too.

Still here. You're doing great!

Go visit a Crossift gym near you and check it out.

I try to pack the night before, especially if I'm cycling to wok. I get up at 5 or so, take care of the bathroom necessities, pour some coffee and spend about 10-15 minutes checking my workout for the day and the weather and logging onto a couple of websites. If I'm dragging, Ill eat a banana. Otherwise I just take y…

I started with Starting Strength and have moved over to Wendler 5/3/1. StrongLifts looks like a good program, though, and is free. With dumbbells, you're going to be very limited.

The rubber-coated iron, especially if you're going to do deadlifts and Olympic lifts.

Do they have an 8=pack version?
