You have to stick to clean eating for at least 2-3 months to see results. Holds true for me, dunno about others. Also, lifting is way better than cardio if you wanna see changes.

Cottage cheese/greek yogurt/string cheese. You can leave these at room temp. for a few hours without them spoiling along with an apple/banana and a can of tuna. That should make for a healthy meal that's filling too.

How about before every meal you have a couple of glasses of water and some greens. Will make it much easier to portion control, and not cheat, without offending your MIL! :)
