very good read indeed, we gotta keep reminding folks that online calculators are just estimates. be diligent at calorie tracking for a couple of months in order to have your own data, then extrapolate your own TDEE from your own data, then adjust accordingly

i eat sweets all the time and don't plan on ever stopping. just fit them into your calorie goals, but you definitely need to eat these with moderation while you are cutting edit to say: if you still have a problem meeting your calorie goals incorporating sweets, then try finding another source of a sugar rush, i personally…

couple of suggestions. 1) make sure you update mapmywalk settings to your new weight or it will calculate calories burned on your starting weight. go under setting -> profile, then update your weight 2) yes, your math is correct, but you dont have to eat all your exercise calories back since you are just estimating how…

android, HTC phone, works great. my favorite feature is tracking calories using a weekly average rather than daily (found only on phone and not website) click on weekly, then look at the bar on the far RIGHT, that is where you are calories wise during a Mon - Sun cycle and you can see if you are below or above your daily…

I started tracking calories for the first time in my life on Feb2013. if you guys could help me estimate, that that would be great. you're looking at a slice of veggie pizza from…

I always try my best to track my calories but a lot of times I eat stuff that I can't quite figure out. if you guys could help me estimate, that that would be great. you're looking at a slice of veggie pizza from my local mom & pop store. there's quite a few weight training exercises you can do with just your bodyweight http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bodyweight_exercise you can also get yourself some heavier bands, a door stopper to use with the bands. Look on you-tube for workouts.

just curious here, if you just track your water for the day, will it still go back to ZERO?

go on a 5 mile run on the pavement and see what that feels like. I suspect it'll be uncomfortable even with better shoes. you also know your pace so do the math and see how long its going to take you to complete 13.1, we're talking about hours of running on the pavement. On the other hand if you are going to walk some, jog…
