I just bought some whey protein powder the other day and have had some the past two days at breakfast. This morning the chocolate peanut butter one I made added up to over 300 calories, so it's a start!

Bump for the morning.

Whatever your minimum is. :) My biggest problem is I forget to eat. I get wrapped up in what I'm doing with the kids or around the house and before I know it, BAM it's bedtime and I've hardly eaten anything!

Thanks everybody!

Great job!

I got some good suggestions here: https://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1016029-struggling-to-meet-the-minimum-but-want-to-reach-1350

Short on time but wanted to reply IRT drinks. I gave up my 5 a day Diet Coke habit a month and a half ago, cold turkey. Since, I've been drinking one cup of hot rooibos tea in the morning, one glass of decaf ice tea a day and the rest of he day water. I tried one little sip of Diet Coke last week and yuck!

Thank you and these are all great tips. I love the thought of possibly not being cold ALL. THE. TIME. anymore. I have been freezing since it started being air conditioner time again. DH likes to keep it on 70* and I'm a popsicle at that temperature!

We do. I've never stepped foot in it before, though. I'll have to check it out. They were $1.99 each when I bought one last week. I think they were on sale, though. I was going to buy one this week but every last one they had was super mushy so I passed. I like those Wholly Guacamole snack packs. They're good mixed with a…

Where does one get protein powder? Need to research this, too! LOL

I'm petite, too. Always have been. I'm 5'1", very slender shoulders and a short torso. While hovering in the high 120 range is great for most people, it had me looking short and squat.

Hm....the local natural food store has a bulk foods room and I swear I saw walnuts in there today. I'll have to check next time I go. I can buy a teeny weeny amount then and try them that way.

My favorite way to use EVOO right now is to toss 1 cup salad greens, 1.5 oz chicken (only because I can't fit more lol), 1/8 c feta, 1/8 cranberries, drizzled with 2 tsp EVOO then stuffed into a pita pocket. YUM.

Ok, so ideas mentioned thus far: -Avocado (yum--I do these once or twice a week, but they're pricey!) -Nuts (The only nuts I like are pistachios, peanuts and cashews....I've TRIED to like almonds but I just can't! 3 options is better than none, though!) -Few more Hershey Kisses (I like this suggestion ;) I've been having…

Tired. ;) I have more energy since I started eating more. I don't take 3 hour naps with my kids in the middle of the afternoon anymore....and that's still not reaching 1200 most days....so I can imagine how much energy I'll have once I can get my nutrition where it needs to be! I've been exercising at least 30 minutes a…

Ok, I've got a list of routines, websites and apps to look at and research this evening, it looks like. Thanks for the input everyone.

Ok, totally didn't mean to open a can of worms. LOL. Consider me a completely clueless, total newb just starting to dip her toe into something other than cardio. Cardio is how I lost 20 pounds before our last child, but that alone is not really cutting it this time around, so I'm trying to expand my horizons and shake…

Thank you. This was helpful. I'll check out dumbbell handles/weight plates.

I will check it out. Just a note that you could have cut out your previous posts by saying you don't recommend 5-15 pound weights as they are not helpful, to try out this app as a cheap alternative. No need for the snarky posts before this one.

Considering the fact I can barely lift a gallon of milk chest high, starting small and building up is going to have to do.

Yes I realize the treadmill and step aerobics are not strength training, thank you. The machines in the circuit were strength training, though and I will not have access to those. I currently have no weights of any kind at my house, nor will I have access to any, so buying something will have to suffice. I am a SAHM with…
