Stationary bike is my best friend. I eat exactly what I want. I grew up eating veggies so that was no problem in the first place, but when I want a burger, pizza, beer, etc., I make sure it fits into my calorie goal or I work it off. I don't knock eating clean for those who can do it, but for me, I have to do what I intend…

We are in the same boat. I have practically glued myself to my stationary bike, but I do crunches too. Still look rather pregnant, but I know that if we just keep at it and burn fat with plenty of cardio that belly will have to go down. Even if I don't crunch out on the floor, I'll do them on the couch or in bed and…

It's not impossible and you seem to have the right mindset. This journey is not easy, but being on MFP will really put things in perspective and you'll definitely appreciate all the support that you'll find here, so welcome to the site. As long as you're determined and willing to deal with some trial and error, I believe…

I'm not really sure but years ago I went on the Atkins diet and for the first two weeks you can only have 25 carbs a day which puts you into ketosis. I thought that this was strange because I've never heard of spilling protein into your urine was a good thing, but at the time I was desperate and that was what the first…

:noway: Late yet again and with a GAIN!!! May 15th was 157.6 I think...today I'm down a pound but still using the weight for Sunday...a tad too much celebrating huh???? See y'all next week!!

No disrespect to the poster because you did make some valid points about food, but it is your choice to eat and live the way you want to just as it is my choice to eat, drink, smoke, and live the way I want to. It is a free country and it's okay to give your opinion, maybe just think about 'how' you're saying what you want…

Boy am I glad I came across this thread...I have a small trampoline(haven't put it up yet), but I was thinking about adding it in as a workout so I'll be sure to stretch and be careful...I'm a little clumsy too!0:tongue:
-
Very inspiring story...I remember when I first started doing 'real' workouts and how hard it was and that dude is really serious...I agree with you on the trainers but like you said, can't be sure if they were just busy, but it seems like somebody would've helped him out, but that really gave me the assurance that I can…

You've done an awesome job so far and you can really see a big difference...keep up the good work!!!

Wow you sound like me! I've gone back and forth for some years now and I've been slowly but steadily losing and getting fit since I've been on MFP! Welcome to the site, you're gonna love it and feel free to add me. We can motivate each other on up days and down days alike. Trial and error with a lot of determination(and…

First just let me start by saying that I'm so sorry for your loss because that really IS a loss. I've been thru something similar, but not with my husband...it was my parents...long story but I want you to know that you should be congratulated on the way that you are living, so CONGRATS!!! You are a very strong woman to be…

Like some others said, you must exercise. I don't use my alloted calories on alcohol, I make sure that I have earned my drinks through exercise and after I know that I have eaten and had TONS of water(I drink it constantly), then I'm good to go with the beer or whatever I'm going to indulge in because life really is too…

I have a long family history of diabetes. I'm not diabetic but last year my A1C was a little high which means that my overall blood sugar over a period of time was too high although my fasting blood sugar was normal. This can be rectified through eating healthy and exercising. If you are pre-diabetic, you can do the same…

I hate the words diet and I definitely hate the word cheat. I call it a 'treat' day or meal, because that's actually what it is. When I have spent all week logging and trying to eat somewhat healthy and I give myself whatever I want one day out of the week(I usually still count it anyway), it literally is a treat for me.…

Woo hooo, another southerner...I'm from Memphis...feel free to add me if you like, we can motivate each other!
