So glad you joined us! quote="River_Goddess;c-40371047"]I would like to lose 12-14lbs in September, which I don't feel is unrealistic as 3lbs/week is my current average, and I am now incorporating a new exercise routine (walking to and from work) which should maintain or increase that average (I hope!). I do and will…

Hello Keto friends - I have been off and on since Thanksgiving, and am up 5 lbs or so. I see a difference in my skin, how I sleep, and overall well being. Back to Keto for me - bring on the butter!

Hi Monica - I am a mom in Southern IL. My kids are grown, and now I have grand kids. Would love to buddy up and get that scale going in the right direction together!

Low carb/high fat (Ketogenic) works well for those with thyroid disorders.

Losing weight is different for everyone. Try lowering your sugar as suggested and see if that works. Weight loss is not one size fits all as some insinuate. For some, lowering sugar/carbs may be more effective. Low carb/high fat works for me (keto). Keep researching and find what works for you - Good luck!

Appreciate everyone sharing good information here - It is clear that there is not a food prescription for all. Do what works for you, rest, test, ask, learn, advocate for yourself. Be well!

Just for today: I will log every bite and stay within macros, and I will exercise for 30 min. I will resist evening temptations! (Can be good all day, but can be weak after 6 PM!) Taking one day at a time - thanks for this thread!

Have your thyroid checked! Up your cals - your body thinks it is starvation mode. You may wish to switch your way of eating - Investigate KETO or. LCHF. Just suggestions.

Stopthethyroidmadness.com is the website referred to above - You could eliminate gluten for a few days and see how you feel, That is what I did, and many symptoms I was having disappeared. That was enough for me - Eating clean and getting on the optimal dose of thyroid medication (I am on Armour) has improved my health…

Mine improved when my iron/ferritin got into the high range of optimal.

Research Raynald's - It is common with thyroid patients. I was experiencing it frequently prior to being on Armour.

Hi! Try eating less processed food - It is full of carbs, salt, and yucky stuff that your body does not know how to process. Read articles about eating clean. It takes a while to educate yourself. It also takes a while for your body to adjust. You can eat a lot more and feel more satisfied when eating real food. Stock your…

Yes, experiment and see what works for you. Avoiding sugar, grains and processed food makes me feel better! These things trigger hunger and cravings for me. It is habit forming for my body. If I have something carby for breakfast, I am ravished all day. I am best to eat real food, avoid sugar and carby food, and eat when I…
