TOXIC. She wants you to be dependent on her and I'm sure she's afraid that if you lose weight you'll be happy and not want to be around her. I'd tell her she needs to be more supportive. If she doesn't, kick her to the curb. You don't need that junk in your life!

I find I like to eat at night because I'm bored. So I try to plan my meals so that I can have a healthy snack at night. I also have a cup of tea because I find it satisfying.

Feel free to add me:) I'm a mom of 3 kids (and an angel). I just finished my first 10k race on Sunday and am training to do another one at the end of summer. I am also doing Body for Life to incorporate some weight training into my regime. I don't have that many friends on MFP but am on here regularly.

This thread is making my life right now!

No way! They don't have to be completely buff or super duper fit but not obese.

I think if you are hungry you should eat the extra calories. If you are not, then don't. So I guess my answer is, sometimes I eat them and sometimes I don't.

I don't think it's essential to eat breakfast either. I do know for myself that when I switched from 3 meals (Lunch, Dinner, and late night snacking...OMG!!) a day to 6 small meals I'm super hungry in the morning and actually eat less throughout the day because I don't starve and then binge. I think as long as you are…

Oh my...I have some catching up to do. I'm at 286 so far. Eek.

I know I'm late to the game but I'll give it a go:)

It's a program that is supposed to take you from the couch to running 5K. The one I use can be found on http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml and I really liked it. It was gradual and only needed to run 3x per week. I'm sure you could find other places by just googling it. I also know that there are apps for…

I remember one time a long time ago when I was on a no-carb diet (and I felt like I was slowly dying) I went into the bakery and just smelled inside the bags of bread. Oh my gosh did I get some weird looks! lol. But I didn't buy it. French bread is a total LOVE of mine. I can't buy it because if I do I'll eat half a loaf…

I am starting BFL tomorrow with a friend of mine. We have both done the program before a long time ago and found success. Neither of us is really overweight (I have 8 pounds to lose and her about 15). We chose the program more for the success we had in toning our bodies previously. I have my fingers crossed we'll find the…

1. We make mistakes and have bad days but each day we are given a chance to be better than we were the day prior. 2. Rewarding yourself with food is a bad habit and hard to break so don't do it to your kids 3. I don't need to weigh myself 15 times a day. Once a week is sufficient. 4. Smile, laugh and rest because stress…

I always keep a few granola bars in my purse for me or the kids plus a bottle of water. Another thing I try and have handy is fruit because it's so easy. Preparation saves so much sanity and regret!!!

Quinoa (my kids love it) Couscous - both of the above can be loaded with veggies and eaten warm or cold Squash Yams Beans (my husband and kids love beans)

Bananas Beans of all kinds (love making bean soup) Tea

I would say you should be eating 1000 calories plus your exercise points.

Wow you look fantastic. Great job:)

I'm just getting back into working out and in decent shape. My hubby, on the other hand, is as fit as a fiddle and extremely attractive (well at least I think so). He jokes around saying he's doing his best to make all my girlfriends jealous of me....lol. I think it's funny. Use what you want for motivation. Just keep the…

I foresee a lot of km's in your future!!

Great job. You are a new person!!! (well half your old person)

I can totally tell the difference. Plus, you must feel sooooo much better too! That counts for something. Keep up the good work:)

I'm from BC:) I hope you find a good support system on here...really helps. Good luck!

I think lots of unhealthy people (and overweight people) think skinny people are just naturally skinny and don't have to work to keep it that way. They also see food as a reward so they don't understand why you wouldn't be rewarding yourself for being thin! ha, ha. I think junk food tastes great and am only in the process…

Wow...major difference! Good job:)

Good for you!!! You look fantastic:)

I've found night time snacking to be my nemesis. What worked well for me was 2 things. #1: I still munch but I try to eat healthier stuff. #2: I cut out the stuff that I was doing while I was eating. So I stopped watching TV and playing facebook games (super tough for me) but as a result I've become much more productive. I…

Good job! Work it:)

In through the nose and out through the mouth works great for me for both cardio and resistance training. I don't know whether that is proper or not. I always blow out on exertion (weight lifting). It's interesting to see everyone's replies! Good question:)
