I have a hip that doesn't want to stay where it belongs which then affects my knees. I have been successful with counting calories. I also do water aerobics which takes the stress off the joints and allows me to move in ways that I can't do on land. I keep getting stronger which makes me happy! Good luck, you can make this…

"At the moment I am still living with my mum and dad and my mum is firmly against online grocery shopping (she's convinced that they're going to send her all the food that's hours from going off if she doesn't pick it herself) so that really is an unavoidable trip and I will give the exercise stuff ago, I don't know what's…

These all sound great. Will have to try them.

What I understood from your second post was that you were used to eating more in the evening and perhaps not eating during the day. It is possible to save some calories for the evening. I hate going to bed hungry and always save some to use at night. Maybe that would also help with not meeting calorie goals.

I do water aerobics 5 days a week 45-90 minutes each day. I also have a lot of weight to lose. I love it because I can do things in the water that I can't do on land like jumping jacks and running. I believe in eating a well balanced diet. Eat fewer calories than you use up and you will lose weight. Plain water is fine.…

I like canned salmon a lot, bones and skin!! Try adding it to a cream sauce with a bit of onion, peas (canned, drained or frozen) When it is nice and hot serve it over split, fresh baked biscuits. Yummy!

You can do this. Don't expect to change over night. I started in June. I could not stand up straight and could not walk 1/8 of a mile without gasping for breath and hurting all over. I started with water aerobics. In the beginning even the easy classes killed me. I now do 90 minutes of water aerobics 3 days a week, a 90…

I'm like this also. For along time we did not have a full length mirror in the house so I only saw myself from the shoulders up. When we first got a full length mirror I was shocked at how fat I looked. I still don't look at myself too much in that mirror. One of my goals is to feel comfortable with that.

I find the tracking really importlogant, also weighing and measuring. I do log a lot the next day as I am not on the computer late at night and always have a bed time snack!!!

Weighing and measuring my food. I have to relearn proper portion sizes.

Great story especially that you are maintaining and improving!!!! Excellent! :drinker:

Really good advice so far. I would just like to add that you need to look at ALL food labels. I am trying to lower my blood pressure also and I am shocked sometimes at what has sodium in it - like raw baby carrots and celery.

What a fantastic accomplishment!! Good for you. :drinker:
