Thank you!! Now to sort out what it all means for me! :)
-
This. Any advice on how to get the spreadsheet? I echo the request for a google doc... :)
-
I have to echo the Polar models. I have an FT4 and I LOVE it! I have a chest strap and it's really comfortable - I hardly realize I'm wearing it.
-
I adore you, lady!! So proud of your progress and I can't wait to see you keep working it HARD like you have been!! :) <3

This is my favorite.

I'm 5'8" and 26. I'm 147ish now, but started at 198 a year ago. I want to lose another 15-17 pounds depending on how I start toning up. :) Feel free to add me!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong - but I'm fairly sure that the poses are the same and the difference is (1) room temperature and (2) pace. The Hatha class I took was much slower and gentler than the Vinyasa I've been exposed to. Vinyasa seems to be a more intense practice. I've also not seen Hatha offered as a hot practice.
-
Hot yoga is when the temperature in the practice area is turned up. The classes I've taken are between 85-92 degrees. Traditional Bikram yoga is a very specific type of hot yoga is between 95-100 degrees.

I love hot vinyasa. I want to try an actual Bikram class. I don't like hatha/stretch type yoga. I need a more active type of yoga to burn off my nervous energy and really feel cleansed and relaxed. Everyone likes a different practice, even within the same room. If possible, it's best to try different types of yoga and…

I love that asexual is listed here - it is so often forgotten. <3 I might be checking this group out. Thanks!

I'm from Northeastern Ohio outside Cleveland! Add me if you want! (Except Laura ... lol, love ya girl!)

You are one of my favorites. I haven't given up pizza, chocolate, ice cream, Chipotle, OR diet soda and I've been losing pretty steadily (with the normal plateaus). You look AMAZING! what an inspiration!
-
Thank you! Your 131 is nothing to scoff at, either! Congrats! :] May we continue!

I have a Timex and eat back some of my calories. I've lost 34.4 pounds since November 2010 (ish). Which is just over a pound a week, which is what my goals are set to. When I started personal training, I had no HRM. My trainer had the average calorie expenditure per move and when I got a HRM, the burn matched closely with…

Sorry I have been away from you guys! I swear I've been out of my apartment more than in it this week. HOWEVER! I have a loss of 3.8 lbs this week. FINALLY breaking that no-loss streak. I can't wait to see how well the rest of you do! :] :]

Question! If abs are made in the kitchen (and not the gym) - what's the recipe?
-
Congrats!! It feels great to hit your first goal!! :] Keep up the great work!

I weighed in last night and lost .6 lbs. The scale FINALLY moved down for the first time in four weeks. Ambitious has to get us somewhere, right? Haha. I was sick last week and I'm still just getting over it. So, I've just been doing my training sessions with my personal trainer and some light cardio so I don't over-do it…

I usually get Chicken Basil. Not too high in calories - I think it's like 500 cal for 1.5 or 2 cups (it's in the MFP database). I also get tea before my meal so I get a sort of filling feeling before I get my food arrives.
-
Heart rate monitor, food scale, and watch sodium (also make sure you're getting ENOUGH potassium). In the past four weeks, I've had only a GAIN of .8lb, but in the past 5ish weeks, I've lost 5 inches over my body. Our bodies are smart.

bump! sounds awesome!

My update: I've been sick so I have been eating more and exercising less. My net calories have still looked good, though. I'm hoping to lose SOMETHING this week and break the plateau I've been stuck on. Looks like everyone is doing great! Keep it up!

What kind of workouts do you all do when you have a cold?
-
My goal is 10-15 by the end of the challenge.
-
You are all doing AMAZING. I definitely want a partner from the house. :] That would be a fun way to stay connected - it is hard to keep up with EVERYONE in the threads! (even though I want to). We are gonna DO this. Also: even though I didn't lose weight - in the last month I've lost 5 inches! Bittersweet because it isn't…

I weighed in yesterday (Friday is my weigh in day, I'll use that throughout the challenge) and I haven't lost any weight in THREE weeks. Or gained. Not even an OUNCE! Four weeks ago, I gained .8. The first two weeks I didn't gain/lose, I was at 1450 calories. Then he upped it to 1850 to go to 1lb/week to see if that would…

While eating Neapolitan style pizza at a family place called Sweet Basil, I told my boyfriend that if I was on death row that would be my last meal choice. Also, french fries and a thick chocolate milkshake and brownies. Oh, my, gosh, brownies. The warm, slightly gooey type with dark chocolate frosting. Mmm....

@raquel - thanks!! that is SUCH a help since I don't have a lot of time to hang around and find the post I need. I usually use MFP from my phone, so I can't see forums. @thetigerzeye - oh man! what a job! just try as hard as you can. :] I feel like we've definitely got some determination and optimism going on as a whole.…

For the challenge, I think I'm doing okay! I didn't know what it was until today, unfortunately. I worked out Monday (elliptical), Tuesday (elliptical/treadmill), and Wednesday (kickboxing) this week. I am going to work out later tonight, too, on the elliptical. Tomorrow I have personal training (usually do on Monday, too,…
