Hi, everyone! I just found the posts again and saw I was sorted into Slytherin! :] I'll try to catch up with everything tonight and I can't wait to participate in my very first challenge! Woohoo!

WOW!! You look outstanding! Keep it up!

I want to play!! I weigh in on Fridays, so I'll use last week's weight to start: 167.6

I eat Chinese food once every week or so. I always get steamed chicken with vegetables. That's in the database on MFP and in other places on the internet at about 120 calories per cup. You can order a sauce on the side (of course) and dip into it. Order some tea to go along with it, if you like it. You can always ask how…

Holy. Crap. You look FANTASTIC! :] Thanks for the inspiration! Keep it up!

Pop Chips if you can find them around you. Also: I have an apple with my lunch every day. Although, I still want crunchy sometimes - so I know what you mean! I usually just eat Sun Chips though. Yum.

Mine is open. I eat a lot of the same types of foods over and over, so I don't know if you'll find anything useful, but go ahead and take a look!

Wow, love this!! Your body shape/build reminds me a LOT of mine, so I'm really inspired by this!! Thank you for posting :]

Yes, definitely a good trade off it if it were my choice. Better vitamins and nutrients with healthier fats with the almond butters and banana versus the processed sweets.

It all depends on your body. If I workout when I'm hungry, it distracts me (which usually works really well if I'm not truly hungry!). But when I'm done working out, if I don't eat within the half an hour.

It's a personal decision, really. Some people cut out all soda and carbonated beverages (it can induce bloating for some). Personally, I drink Pepsi One (it is sweetened with Splenda, so I don't get headaches like I do from aspertame). It hasn't hindered my weight loss at all. Best of luck!

Rock it out. You deserve it. :]

Wow! You have great results! :]

bump - curious about answers.

You are such a badass. Own it!!

Making your own is the best way to go. Pizza isn't always high calorie, but it tends to be sky high in sodium. It can also contain a lot of fat, depending on topping choices. Just enjoy whatever you decide, get a little workout time in, and drink plenty of water. You could also try eating some salad or vegetables before…

Gym equipment UNDERestimates my calorie burn. Get a HRM to be more accurate.

You look great! And gorgeous, lady! Your skin glows!
-
You seriously look more toned already! Keep up the good work! :]

This.

Definitely! I was 190ish when I tried to learn for the first time.... with almost no upper body strength. Horrible idea, but somehow I managed to love it. Now I'm 174 and can't wait to try again soon!!! Good luck to you and hopefully you'll be climbing sooner than later!

That is a great burn! Rock climbing is ridiculous for the body: balance, stamina, strength. I'm considering buying a rock climbing gym membership with my boyfriend. He used to climb in a friend's garage (they had a pretty nice set up), but friend has since moved and I'm itching to get back to learning. I've only been on a…

I have a Timex Zone Trainer and it can be set to beep when you aren't in your target zone to let you know. It also has an adjustable chest strap and counts calories burned.

My favorite fruits are apples, grapes, pineapple, and strawberries. (Blueberries if I'm in Maine on vacation in the summer!). They're all pretty sweet fruits with lots of flavor (if they're in season). Try fruit with unsweetened yogurt - the fruit should give you enough sugar. I think it sounds like you need to adjust your…

According to my HRM, I always burn more than MFP estimations. Also more than gym machine estimations. (And yes, I enter my stats in those).

The accuracy is better with a chest strap than a wrist monitor. Each HRM is programmed with a formula used to calculate calories burned. Accuracy as far as that goes depends on your belief in the accuracy of the formula. A lot of people on MFP like the Polar brand, but I have a Timex Zone Trainer and I love it. Good luck!
