I'd maybe drop it back to just a Friday morning treat, or something like that. You don't have to give it up if it fits your calories, but with a little willpower you can cut back from having one every day. Perhaps as an incentive, put aside that bit of money every morning that you don't spend on a specialty coffee and use…

Accuracy is definitely something that is important, and it's something I really need to improve in my own logging. There are some very good tips here, and a couple of things I hadn't thought of. But I can't help but look at that list and wonder, when does it cross the line from meticulous accuracy to OCD territory?

I'm 5'7" and MFP tells me I should be eating 1280 according to my goals. I'm finding it impossible to stay that low, and I try to shoot for 1400 instead.

Be a little careful about what liquids you carbonate. For the Sodastream, if you carbonate anything but plain water, you will void your warranty. Just in case that's a concern to you.

Before I got a scale, I was definitely depending on measurements such as cups and slices per serving. Now that I have a scale, grams are definitely what I'm looking for. As for ounces vs grams, I'd definitely suggest to anyone considering purchasing a scale to get one that does both units of measurement.

I absolutely loathed mushrooms as a kid, to the point of my gag reflex kicking in whenever I had to eat one. I've eventually come to equitable terms with fresh mushrooms that are nicely prepared. Canned ones can still burn in the fires of fungus hell, however.

Mess with our hocky or our syrup and you get jerseyed.

It's a slippery slope you're embarking on... first you start with the lattes and mochas... and next thing you know it'll be freshly ground dark roast guzzled by the pot and straight black.

Picked up a case of Tully's Hawaiian blend at Costco when it was on special a few weeks ago, and really enjoying it. Millstone's Foglifter is my usual go-to. After 8, Dark Magic, Timothy's Kahlua, Green Mountain Blueberry... lots of great flavours out there. Only one I would never buy again at this point is the Green…

I count tea as water, especially green and herbal teas. In my opinion, it's just hot water flavoured with leaves and adding the benefits of anti-oxidants. I don't see how it's any different than counting cold water infused with fruit as water.

I take 5,000 units a day, as we get more rain than sun most months of the year.

A glass of wine takes care of those pesky unused calories. hehe

Costco had packaged ground buffalo meat when I was there last weekend, to my surprise. I almost bought it, but the gound beef was half the price.

I would really advise you not get into a gum-chewing habit if you talk to customers all day. Nothing worse than talking to someone who is chawing in your ear the whole time. Not sure your fellow cubicle dwellers want to hear it, either.

I think part of the snark is because of the holiness and preachiness the anti-soda crowd can, at times, impart in these threads. There's absolutely nothing wrong with not wanting it in your body. Your body, your choice, and being soda free is probably one of the better choices to make. But when the fire and brimstone based…

OMG YELLING!!!!! But six pieces of what? Cucumber roll? Dynamite roll? Spider roll? Tuna belly?

Honestly, it sounds like you go to a pretty crappy sushi place.

The person making fun of logging dog grooming as exercise has clearly never had to brush out 60lbs of long-haired, double coat that does NOT want to be groomed. I need a nap by the time I'm done battling him.

Soup and a piece of toast. I always make sure I have a pre-made soup in the cupboard for those days. Also doesn't take long to defrost a piece of fish and fry it quickly, and microwave a few vegetables to go with.

It needs to be a lake of syrup to dip it in... oh yes.

I can only speak for myself, but I end up downright irritable by lunch if I haven't had breakfast. I feel off-kilter a good part of the day, and I end up snacking heavily later. I just can't imagine not having breakfast on a regular basis and having that fuel in my system.

My father is an extremely picky eater, and I mean extremely. You know what it means? Every single family dinner has to revolve around his picky eating habits. We are limited to the restaurants he can find something to eat at, or Mom has to host everything because even food he loves he won't eat if someone other than her…

Fresh air and sunshine can definitely do wonders for lifting the mood. Get out in the garden, take the dog for a walk, saunter down to the grocery store for a fresh fruit treat? How about hobbies? Do you have any hobbies you enjoy, or any you've wanted to try? Pamper yourself recently?

I love my Sodastream, love it! Turn tap water into fizzy water any time I'm wanting bubbles.

Pineapple and banana peppers is also a splendid duo.

I'm just happy I can get my rings on again. I was wearing them on a necklace the last couple of years when I couldn't get them on anymore. Would be nice to get to a point where they're too big, but it's a long ways away.

Me, too. Chips I can't portion control myself with, but the snap pea crisps I can easily have a few and put the bag away.

I often go to Extreme Pita. They have a few small pita offerings that are under 400 cals according to their menu boards. Not sure if they're in Nova Scotia, though. Swiss Chalet isn't exactly fast food, but a quarter chicken dinner doesn't do too much damage, depending on the sides you choose. Subway is an option for a 6"…

If I'm thinking ahead of time I make a strong double-shot in the Aeropress, then refrigerate until I'm ready for it. Add ice, skim milk, Torani SF syrup, and enjoy! I also have flavoured ice coffee K-cups, but I'm not a fan of it.

Easiest way to avoid the binge is definitely to just not buy them in the first place. I can demolish a full-size bag of chips before I know what I've done. So I just make myself walk past that isle in the grocery store now. Helps too that with the Sodastream I don't have to buy pop, which is always in the same spot as the…
