higher sodium content generally comes from more calorie dense and nutritient poor foods (fast food). I also know on a personal level on days I eat higher sodium i am puffier (and heavier) the following day or so and require more water and better food choices for a few days. I tend to eat most things just smaller portions (budget friendly) and prepared in a healthier way/lower calorie way. Also have a fruit and vege garden :)

I make my own pizza's and my own "KFC" so I'm not missing out. I use lower cal ingredients and no oil. does the trick :)

Take up bush walking? bird watching? nature photography? I work out at home we can buy (In Aus) cheapish fitness equipment and walking is free. Good luck.

I have my fitbit one, When i have it on my wrist (like after a shower before bed/when getting up) i notice my "activity" seems higher though teh steps not iykwim. When i wear mY fitbit one on my waist i get a good step and activity reading. If i clip it to my bra the steps again don't seem as high.

Vegemite sandwich? You def need meals, not just snacks. even as a vegan/vegetarian you can eat pulses and vegetables - make soups, boil a potato.
