  • I'm a smidge under 5'3. I started my journey 3 year's ago because I was a junior in college and my heaviest, 135, and realized soon I would be out there in the real theatre world amongst girls in better shape than I was. I went down to 122 from that January to that August purely from exercise. I did adopt some healthier…
  • You just reminded me I forgot nut butter and cheese! Two of my favorite things!
  • I eat a lot ... Organic romaine hearts Butter lettuce (for tacos/fajitas/sandwich wraps) Avocado Bananas Organic vine or cherry tomatoes Red onion Oranges Pears Potatoes and sweet potatoes Craisins(for salad) Chicken salad Canned tuna in water Organic chicken breast Organic 93/7 ground beef 93/7 ground turkey Whiting or…
  • This is great! Extremely helpful!
  • I'll still be lifting weights of course. As a theatre actress I need to to help prevent injury. But I won't think that's what is getting me a "toned" stomach anymore :)
  • Thank you for clarifying that for me (though I must admit I have no idea what lengthening muscles even means ...)! So basically keep up my cardio for continued weight loss that will hopefully lead to what we incorrectly refer to as a toned body
  • I'm not cheese free, but I do try to limit my intake because of cholesterol and calories. I sub a lot of foods I like with cheese with avocado, like salads and sandwiches. Same goes with sour cream; I use guacamole in tacos and such instead of sour cream now.
  • Thanks for asking because I was about to Google haha
  • I've been using Karena & Katrina's Tone It Up videos workout videos on YouTube, and that's how they refer to their routines that focus on toning arms, abs, legs, and butts. Sorry for not clarifying. Thanks for the link!

  • The best ones I've ever gotten were from aerie on clearance for about $11. I'm a 32DD, so it's hard finding a decently priced sports bra that supports in the right spots and isn't padded. Vicky Secret probably has some good ones on sale now too since the Semi-annual is going on
  • I'm 5'2.75. My goal was 115, but unless the remaining 3 lbs come from my stomach, I'll have to go down to 110.
  • What about the liquid Stevia drops? I'd rather just do the evaporated cane sugar crystals or agave myself, but my dad is diabetic and doesn't trust agave. So I'm trying to find a decent sub to keep around the house for him
  • Skinny Cow candy is actually my favorite. I feel less left out when everyone is getting their chocolate fix from the vending machine at work!
  • I almost always replace ground beef with 93/7 or 99/1 ground turkey Reese's cups - Skinny Cow Heavenly Crisps peanut butter Fried foods - oven "frying" Brownies - Fiber One brownies (microwaved for 15 seconds)
  • To me, it tastes almost identical to sour cream. I pretty much only use it to sub that and for cooking. I cannot imagine eating it like a sweet snack.
  • Fruit Raw nuts (add reduced sugar craisins for a trail mix) Low sodium or unsalted tortilla chips and fresh salsa/pico de gallo/tomato trinity Fiber One brownies Skinny Cow anything
  • Insane as in too many calories when you crossfit or too little to maintain?
  • I'm not a vegan, but my vegan friend knew I was trying to change my lifestyle to healthier/more plant based, and these books are so insightful and give really fun recipes that will also add some flavor let alone much needed nutrients to your meals: http://www.amazon.com/The-Kind-Diet-Simple-Feeling/dp/1609611357…
  • $100-$150 and I'm by myself AND clip coupons ... The struggle is real.
  • 1/4 cup of raw, unsalted nuts make a great snack. Mix a tablespoon of reduced sugar craisins and you have a tasty trail mix. I mostly eat sandwiches for lunch but in a whole wheat pita pocket to save on cals. Plus I have two pieces of fruit, general one that's 50-100 cals and a quarter cup of berries.
  • I'm 5'2.75 and aiming for 115 lbs! I'm halfway there since I started MFP :)
  • Haha I was not actually told who I would be "friends" with, but I assume based on my height my options are Tweety, Taz, or Daffy
  • "Dance" is so generic though. I feel like there must be a difference in calories burned among different styles
  • Haha no Mickey, but I will probably have days I'm dancing in a "fur" costume
  • Thanks for all the suggestions, guys! You've given me a pretty good starting point :)
  • I do this every night before bed. Since I plan out my weekly dinners before I go grocery shopping, I figure why not. My lunches and breakfasts don't vary too much, and I already know what I have left over just in case my coworkers want to go somewhere to eat after work. It makes things less stressful the next day
  • That's exactly what I do. Two tablespoons is pretty satisfactory for me. I am trying to switch to Natural Bliss though so that I'm putting at least less unnatural things in my body!
  • Definitely more because of all the USDA certified organic I've been purchasing. But in the end, it's worth it. I just spend less on clothing and try to use coupons on what I can, like coffee and Silk
  • If I'm using eggs for cooking or baking, I never use the yolk. If I just want eggs or an omelet, it depends on my mood. I don't waste the yolks though; I save them and use them in Rocco DiSpirito's spaghetti a la carbonara recipe :)
