Yeah, weight is taken into account. I notice that I burn less when I lose more weight!

Yeah, weigh yourself once a week - just avoid weighing yourself every day, which can be depressing! It's definitely better to have evidence that you're losing weight, sometimes 'just feeling it' doesn't give you a clear idea of your progress.

Also, as men have a more muscular frame they burn more calories pound-for-pound.

It depends on your goals. If you want to increase stamina then increase reps, if you want to increase size/ strength then increase the weight. In either case, the last rep of the 3rd set should be very difficult, and it's not really benefitting you to repeat an easy exercise.

All sugars are the same - The difference is the other nutrients (vitamins, fibre etc) that you get when eating fruit.

I go for gin and slim tonic or vodka and Diet Coke. You get your alcohol without the guilt!
