A pound a week for a whole year is an amazing result, and you should be very proud of it. :flowerforyou:

I finished week 3 this morning. It seemed harder than the first 2 runs, but that may have been because I overdid it yesterday, or because I was running into the wind on the final leg. Dreading the massive increase in running next time :ohwell:

I'm on Week 3, with run 3 coming up tomorrow. Haven't found it too bad so far, but I practically walked myself into the ground today, which I will no doubt regret come tomorrow when I can barely hobble, never mind run haha. Feel free to add me if you like

I don't know of any UK restaurants that publish nutritional info on their menus, but I really wish they did! It's the best idea since sliced bread (wholemeal of course  ).

I think the problem here is the artificial floor of 1200 calories, below which MFP just won't go. I'm in the same situation as you - whatever I set my activity level to I get the same 1200 calories that I was given as a goal when I was almost a stone heavier. Maintenance calories for my current size/weight is roughly 1600.…

A third of the way through the month, and still on target to make my goal

It's discouraging to hear, but when you have so few pounds to lose, and are already at a healthy weight, losing 2lbs a week is rather unrealistic. The body will fight tooth and nail to avoid getting underweight and progress slows considerably as optimum weight is approached. 1lb a week is really the maximum you can expect…

To add a ticker, go to www.tickerfactory.com and follow the simple instructions to create your ticker. When it gives you a URL at the end, just copy it then come back to MFP to paste it into your signature box. Whenever you want to update it go back to tickerfactory and add your extra steps. No need to copy and paste it…

Using a simple recipe of 4oz plain flour, one egg and half a pint of skimmed milk makes 8-10 pancakes, depending on the size of your pan. That comes to 550 calories, so about 50-70 calories per pancake. Lots of delicious filling ideas here! I like to stick with the traditional lemon and sugar on pancake day itself, but I'm…

Melanie, that sounds disgusting

I'm using the iPhone app Get Running, which uses time instead of distance, so technically it's Couch to 30 minutes (which for the average person should equate to about 5k)
-
I start week 3 tomorrow, and after finding week 2 hard work, am dreading the 3 minute runs! After the first few runs I was so stiff the next day, but that seems to have passed now, so, progress of a sort

I start week 3 tomorrow - so much dreading the 3 minute runs!

Interesting idea. I think I'd be willing to give it a go. You'd think it would get boring quickly, but I'm not so sure. When I was a child, my mum was a very conservative cook. You could tell what day of the week it was by what we had for dinner, and there was very little variety, yet I never got bored. I would imagine…

Beautiful weather yesterday afternoon, got in a lovely walk on the Common with hubby.

For any British women with the same concerns, I would recommend Marks and Spencers own-brand sports bras. They do a great job of keeping my DDs under control

Brilliant job! :flowerforyou:

I do some kind of formal exercise 6 days a week, be it Wii fit, couch to 5k, walking or whatever. My average weekly weight loss to date has been 1.5lbs, though the actual loss has varied between 0.5lb and 2.5lb.

Didn't get any walking in on Friday due to having to wait in for a delivery that didn't come until almost dinner time  Got about an hour and a half's worth in yesterday, including C25K and walking to the supermarket and back, and think i'm still on track to reach my goal, and hopefully even top it.

I'm very pleased to say that I've developed the ability to completely mentally block out ads on websites. It's like...ads? what ads??

We don't 'do' cups in the UK. The serving size on the box is in grams, and I have a decent scale I put my breakfast bowl on before pouring the cereal. Simple :-)

Desperate to get out for a walk today, especially as it's lovely and sunny out there, but stuck indoors waiting for a delivery that could come any second or not for another 6 hours. Grrrrrrr!!!!

I will have to drag hubby out for a nice long walk in the New Forest sometime soon. If only the weather would warm up a bit!

Officially on Sunday mornings, though I'm sometimes tempted to have a sneak peak once or twice during the week too. My wii also weighs me but I take little notice of that as it can be at different times of day, before or after food etc and is not consistent. However often you weigh, the important thing is that conditions…

I keep both MFP and FB open at the same time on different tabs and flip-flop between the 2. Does that make me doubly sad?

Me too. I keep hearing about how exercise is supposed to be addictive, and I've been sticking with it 6 times a week since new year, but still waiting for the addiction to kick in :frown: It would be so NICE if it didn't feel like such a chore every day!
-
Thank you, I'll do that.
-
Miovlb6, that's exactly the kind of info I'm after, thanks very much! If anybody has any similar data for later weeks, please keep it coming!
-
Gesikale, I am using a C25K iphone app, but on an ipod touch, not a phone, so no GPS unfortunately :frown: AZMomto3, thanks for the numbers, any idea how they would convert to calories?

Compared to the gaming forums I read, this one is all sweetness and light. A thick skin is often required if you're going to stick your head above the parapet on almost any online forum. Just remember to take anything that's said with a pinch of salt. But obviously not literally, because it's bad for you
