  • It's not cheating for me as my weekly diet includes having a higher caloric day. This approach can work even whilst 'cutting' weight. Dieting with a deficit all the time can, in fact, be counterproductive especially when you get to lower bf levels.
  • You could try it but I doubt it would make a major difference. Sure, safflower oil is loaded with linoleic acid which is good for you but CLA might give you a similar minimal benefit. Most of these "supplements" just cause weight loss in your wallet.
  • The only marathon I would enjoy would be on NetFlixs. Seriously, the only fun part of running is when it is over ;0
  • There's really no reason not to indulge in cravings.. Provided that you can do so and stay in control (read moderation). This is the key IMHO...
  • Wow, great job!
  • I would agree with the comment above as you need to look at the overall trend. When I've utilized a carb cycle in the past a drop 7-10 pounds (weighing in at the same time each am) at the end of the week was typical. Of course, this was not actual weight and when I cycled back up with calories and carbs I would bounce back…

  • I usually cook food on Sunday for next week. Usage of the crock pot for cooking chicken really comes in handy and is pretty tasty (using peppers from my back yard, dried peppers, other spices). Frozen fruits are also preferable as they add a bit of texture to smoothies and actually work really well in my oatmeal (heating…

  • There's really no need to count calories all the time... Just do it while you are trying to get things back on track with a good healthy diet and exercise. Furthermore, it's absurd to try and eat clean all the time -- where's the fun in that? So, I would just use this as a tool while you are getting to your goals and make…
  • Way to go!
  • It's pretty easy to rush into it and start overdoing exercises in a fatigued state and, consequently incur injuries from bad form. Furthermore, some of the exercises like Kipping Pullups involve a lot of excessive movement in the legs and lower spine, and as a result places unwanted/additional forces on your shoulders.…

  • ...yum!
  • Totally disagree. The duration of the deficit matters. Combining a diet and exercise program where you run a deficit with high reps/cardio/low carb/high protein followed by a high carb/heavy weight training provides some significant advantages especially when you are trying to lose that last bit of fat and still improve…
  • Muscles grow during your recovery time... The impact of a deficit? Depends upon the duration and amount. Cyclical diets can work really well if you are trying to get down to a really low bf% but tends to be counterproductive if you have a lots of weight to lose.
  • Figure out what works for you. Cardio is terrible to begin with so don't make it worse getting hung up on trying to not eat.
  • Deadlift day, always better than Cardio day :)
  • Your weight can fluctuate quite a bit due to water retention/when you weighed, etc. I wouldn't worry about it but focus in on eating at a slight deficit and doing a bit of exercise.
  • Depends -- on a planned basis I will go all the way up to 1120g
  • That's pretty low [for me :) ] -- I only do that if I'm cutting/cycling calories
  • Squatting but I am trying to up my bench.. :)
  • Trolling is a sport!
  • Yawn, pass the peanut butter..
  • Shakeology will result in weight loss especially if you hop on the scale with your wallet before purchasing. Please re-weigh after with wallet... Magic, I tell you, magic
  • Interesting idea - I don't see why it wouldn't work... Xanthan gum is always a nice additive to make your fluff a bit smoother.. However, If you use pasteurized egg whites (most egg whites sold in stores are pasteurized) the food safety concern should be a non-issue.
  • Ingredients: * 3 egg whites * 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar * 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract * 2/3 cup granular Splenda (You can use sugar instead in the same proportion ) * 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder (optional - or use a different flavoring) Baking: Preheat oven to 300 degrees F 150 c Combine egg whites, cream of…
