  • Yes!! Now this is a great idea :)
  • Mango Strawberry Ice Cream 32 Grams Whey (Blend with Casein Elite Gourmet Vanilla) 1 Cup of Egg Whites (Walmart Brand) 1/2 tsp of Guar Gum 1/2 tsp of White Vinegar 1 tsp of Xanthan Gum 1 Ice Tray of Fit & Active (Aldi) - Mango Tropical Beverage 1/2 Cup Fit Active Strawberry Tried the blender this time: Set the ice cubes…
  • Eggcatly! The egg white only version was quite nice as well.. I used a healthier string cheese which was quite nice
  • The bacon flavor gets cooked into the egg white and yolk. Adding cheese to the center layer was nice as well :) Will be making / tweaking this again >:)
  • Yes, it will crisp up in the oven -- but it will not be super crispy. You can cook it a bit longer but make sure there's some flexibility to make the oval shape.
  • Not sure about the time 10-25? After I partially cooked the bacon. Busy making protein fluff / mango ice cream for tonight :)
  • Semi success with the guar gum, evaporated milk, and ice cube tray. It stayed fluffy and froze faster... However it became too hard And my idea to blend it back down worked well but ended up being a bit soft. I am going to go back to a larger container or use salt / ice Love your idea with the oranges!!

  • I would be interested in the details like Nick indicated. Also, I am pretty certain that with additives (Xantham Gum, Guar Gum, Vinegar, Salt) any protein powder can be utilized.
  • Hmmm, perhaps the freezing time also matters... I really would like an ice cream with more fats in it.. I've got some ideas for my next batch when I have more calories to play with and perhaps waste: Ice cube tray: I can't make my fridge any colder but I should be able to reduce the freezing time (less crystals) and result…

  • Yeah, the ice cream I made tonight was great on taste but slightly icy so I'm hoping that this extra ingredient will take care of it.

  • Attempts at Ice Cream: Ice Cream - similar ingredients without stiffening egg whites: Pineapple Ice Cream - Left over fruit for ice cream, not a good idea. What was I thinking?? Chocolate Peanut Butter: Fluffing with Egg Whites: Egg Fluff with Additives:

  • I have not - need the extra protein :) However, I will give it a try - thank you!
  • Thank for starting this!
  • Good post! Let me know how the candy cane turns out :) Here's another link with videos: http://proteinfluff.com/
  • Low calorie, low carb to high calorie high carb (cycle) works for me but it's not a lifestyle / way of eating on a regular basis. Also it's not a good approach to start off with as you can get off in the weeds / not follow the "plan" for the day
  • ^Sidesteal is right on point about this.. A calorie is a calorie.. everything past that is nutrition. Nutrition in the long term always matters.
  • Actually, now that I think about it your are probably right about the freezing not killing the bacteria. I've removed that remark. Safe to use pasteurized egg products in place of the egg listed above (IE Egg Beaters)
  • If you skip the eggs, it's creamy and equally good.. I needed more fats and a bit more protein for my macros and thus the ice cream version. The texture is a bit icy but very delicious -- enough that I had to share/make extra for my wife ;) Also, you can use other ingredients like fresh fruit, peanut butter, etc to fit…
  • Thank you! There's a really thick texture to the part of the painting that I corrected which I actually like.. Reminds me of this song.. http://www.musictory.com/music/Brandi+Carlile/The+Story All of these lines across my face Tell you the story of who I am So many stories of where I've been And how I got to where I am But…
  • Thanks! Finally resized it so the whole thing would fit :) Actually I didn't like this one as I had messed up on part of it.. Sat in a corner for a year and the I went back and painted over what I didn't like. Has extra meaning and texture now :)
  • I've read the book and felt that it was a bit disorganized and not well tied together. Some things were "interesting" but I didn't come away from it feeling like I learned anything significant. I did, however, like the experimental approach even though some seemed a bit flawed (not interested in arguing about this). I…
  • It's not cheating if its part of the overall plan. :) Works for me... Your mileage may vary!
  • Unless you are on an IV, everyone fasts -- when they sleep. Lol If not eating before a workout has a negative impact upon your performance is it worth it? Just saying.. Not bashing IF as that's part of my plan today Also Overall energy consumption matters most because 90% of your time is spent outside of the gym.
  • Totally agree with the post above...total intake for the day matters most Broscience, however, dictates that after a heavy lift one must slurp down the right mixture of protein, carb, etc to prevent entering a catabolic state.
