GVT is brutal but it help me break through a plateau on the bench. Ultimately, I did get injured while doing this training but that was not due to the technique itself.. Or at least I can't make that claim I completed a bro-tastic lift got a new max and had to take time off..

Depends upon my training and diet. When I am going for a high volume workout, I like to start off with free weights and then taper down to machines (chump mode). There's no doubt that machines let you use bad form and I try to not let this happen. However, I view the use of the machines at the end of my workout to be a…

This: http://www.leangains.com/2010/07/truth-about-alcohol-fat-loss-and-muscle.html From the site-- " * For this day, restrict your intake of dietary fat to 0.3 g/kg body weight (or as close to this figure as possible). * Limit carbs to 1.5 g/kg body weight. Get all carbs from veggies and the tag-along carbs in some…

Indulgence and restriction are part of the plan :)

I have to agree with you about Nutraplanet - they've got great prices. Also, I like to order their bulk items..

Face palm.. Oh well back to eating my carbs

This is a goofy video but the broom stick stretch helped restore my range of motion.. I think that I had a shoulder impingement. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoaC-EJkbbA&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Meh.. It's just a number and not really worth focusing on unless it helps motivate you to stay on track.

You could make an argument for nicotine but smokes? Nope.. :)

I think it works especially when you are already at a low bf. Check out http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/ and the ultimate diet 2.0.

Started out at a chunky 240+ :( - see my fat pic in the pool! Actually, You've made a good point that took me a while to figure out.. Banning foods is not the best approach and cheating can work.. Dieting is tough on the mind, and body(slower metabolism, lower immunity).. Do it long enough and hard enough and it starts to…

Lol, thinking the same thing. Fat is good for you and in fact, I eat plenty of bacon when I am cutting weight :) Ice cream? Well, that is pretty bad for you unless you are making a protein ice cream with egg whites!
-
Bacon? That's what I eat on a lean day :)

Ceral is usually higer in carbs.. So the portion is going to be small + you'll want milk which has carbs as well. Other good choices: Eggs, bacon Eggs, veggies, spices .. Use egg whites for less calories / more volume Egg, egg whites, and a piece of toast

Good post -- I will be looking over this more later for ideas.. Thanks!

Good information.. Actually measuring yourself is fine.. Just be consistent and it will be a good indicator / feedback for progress..

I will have to give this a try!!

I play on both teams, it's just well fun.. IE some days, I'm team less as I want to maximize what I'm doing from a fat loss perspective and others I'm team more as I want to build -- BUILDING is fun! And sometimes, I get tired of bouncing back and forth and go to the stands.. After a bit of rest and relaxation I find that…

The bro-ology shake would be killer and we would of course Jack up the price!!

Love it.. Hmm Bro90-X does have a ring to it... We could add in a diet where you eat donuts, ice cream, muffins etc every few days lamo

Here's the deal... Figure out what works for you! Seriously, people -- not everyone is the same. Genetics determines our ability to oxidize fat so even the type of the nutrition you take in needs to be tweaked slightly. Are there general rules, sure -- but you need to slowly make changes and figure out what works for you.…

Good advice.. Up the protien and get a good pre bed snack like cottage cheese before bed. Every now and then up your calories - eat clean good food and try to strategically make insuline your friend.. Food is anabolic!

You *can* do that but I wouldn't do it for more than a day or two -- especially if you are cutting carbs. You will deplete glycogen stores and start to feed on your own muscles.. Once you figure out your low carb set point you can cycle calories for killer fat loss. I wouldn't recommend this as a starting point or if you…
