I think it depends on what your ingesting and if it has enough nutrients and keeps you healthy and happy, if its the physical eating part my suggestion would be soups and smoothies the normal foods you would normally eat but in drinking form.

Low fat partly skimmed cheese and pickles lots of pickles they're only about 5 cal each on average and yummy and filling the only downside is the sodium

I think if they see you often then they don't really notice until its VERY noticable just like us when we look in the mirror after a loss and can't see a difference until we see before and after/currents. But mostly I think Men notice but don't comment unless others openly comment as well, its safer that way ha ha.:laugh:
