  • My favourites are Davina McCall Power of 3 and Body Buff. I also like for a change Charlie Brooks' she plays Janine in Eastenders, that always makes me ache for a couple of days after.
  • Hello I am from the UK as well, I have problems with my knees which resulted in surgery 5 years ago but one knee still not right and needs to be operated on again. With the advise of my GP to get my weight down before I go and see the knee specialist to get it sorted out I joined MFP. My GP advised me at first to just do…
  • Thanks guys I really appreciate your input, I don't drink much anyway but will enjoy a couple of glasses the main thing I was worried about was the food so therefore I am going to enjoy myself and what will be will be. Next day just go back to watching everything and exercising as normal.

  • Thanks, it's nice to know that others feel the same.
  • I have the same DVD and the Body Buff and I always put them down as Aerobics General and log how many minutes I have been doing it for. I tend to set the egg time when I start and knock off 5 mins for all the getting down on the floor and getting back up again bits.
  • Ask your GP as I have just been to the doctor feeling tired and worn out all the time and he said lets get the thyroid tested to check its ok and that was done on the NHS going back Monday for results.

  • Kids are just wonderful, the other day I was about to eat something I am not supposed to eat (slip of willpower) and my 9yr old daughter said "don't eat that mummy because you are becoming a yummy mummy you don't need it". You know what I did not eat that choc bar her words were enough to stop me.
  • Well done, congratulations :flowerforyou:
  • Thanks everyone will try the porridge and see what happens, Lee the funny thing is the afternoon I don't notice it at all, but that could be because I have finished work and rushing around picking the kids up from school, shopping and organising tea. But I might also give the scrambled eggs a go as I do like them.
  • Lloyds Pharmacy has reduced theirs to £13 at the moment from £20 so waiting for pay day then will be buying one of theirs.
  • I count a cup as 250ml. I have a 750ml bottle and try to drink three of these during the day so it works out as 9 cups of water.

  • I found I was losing 1lb one week but putting it back on the next, this has happend for the last 4 weeks, so I took a look at my diet and found I was not drinking enough water. I have upped my water to 8 glasses a day plus my needed 4 cups of tea a day (can't help it I am a Brit) and this week I have lost 2lb. To me losing…
  • Good luck on your journey too.
  • When I started in January I was on 1500 Calories as I consulted my Dr about how best to lose this weight and he said start at 1500 and slowly decrease it. So the start of May I have now decreased it to 1400 and in another couple of months I will decrease again. In the last 8 weeks my weight loss has slowed down but I am…
  • I like Davina McCall's Body Buff, although its not dance but I certainly work up a sweat doing it.
  • Here in the UK I class 250ml as a cup amount.
  • I had the same problem and went to GP about it and he recommended wearing running shoes that were made for low arches and I have to admit not had any foot pain since I bought them and they only cost £40.
  • I have been using Davina McCall's Power of 3 and Body Buff and I am pleased with them plus I sweat like a pig whilst doing the DVD so feel like I have worked out hard, In 4 months I have lost 19lb but for 2 of those months I could not excercise because of Foot Tendonitis but for the last week have been getting back into…
  • Well done, keep up the hard work.
  • I have a small smarties egg to eat, which I would like to have some of but unfortunately I have been informed by my two young daughters that as I am eating healthy to lose weight that I am not allow to have it and they will be having half each
  • I always weigh myself in the morning before I have had anything to eat or drink as I find that if I weigh myself in the evening I always show as a gain from the food that I have eaten/drunk during the day.
  • Last Friday I was in the same boat going out for an evening meal. For lunch I had a salad with a mini pitta bread and that was only 203 cals and then one hour before I went out I had a mullerice light mini pot which was only 107 calories, I was fine then until the meal which was 4 hours after the mullerice and blew the…
  • I am trying to do the 30 day shred but the next day my thigh muscles ache so much that I am having to leave it to every other day to excercise. Its been great to read all of your ideas, will have to give some of these a try.
  • I always use my phone and its great when out for a meal you check which meal is lower in calories so you can make smart decisions.
  • It is best not to push yourself too hard with a foot injury as it can come back and bite you. At the end of February I was doing a Davina DVD (aerobics) as I am in the UK and hurt my foot and by rushing back to exercising too early I ended up damaging the tendon and ended up with tendonitis of the foot which resulted in…
  • I struggled with the evening munchies when the children went to bed. What I do is make sure that I have enough calories for a breakaway and a cup of tea for the evening. I tend to have this at about 9pm and find that knowing when the children go to bed at 8pm I have only 1 hour to wait, then I have my cuppa and breakaway…
  • I started it yesterday on Level 1 and do I ache this morning, but plan to do it again when I get home from work. Logged all my measurements and plan to measure myself again in 7 days to see a difference. When I got up this morning I could hardly walk but after an hour I seem to have loosened up a bit. As others have said I…
  • I started yesterday and OMG do I ache. But determined to stick to it so when I get home from work I will be doing it again to day, it can only get easier (I hope).
