  • cool - I'll give some of that a try. Thanks.
  • oh really :( bummer. Nevermind then - I won't log anything if I do add it to my bike rides. Thanks.
  • I'm no expert and only been doing this for about a month with my husband - but I would say definitely! My husband isn't as active as you - is a teacher - and set to just above sedentary and his calorie intake is about 1900. From your activity level - you must be starving on 1500 cals a day - I say increase it and see how…
  • HA that's hilarious! I sooo relate - but I can only blame my 3rd child for it - my pregnancy with him screwed up my bladder... plus I drink a fair bit of coffee :)
  • same - welcome to add me if you like, I love looking at other people's diaries : ) and getting great food ideas!
  • I'm one... but already your friend :)
  • It was so encouraging reading everyone's comments and seeing so many people having reached their goals! I can't wait to be in maintanence mode - and a month ago I would have thought I'd ditch exercise when I get there. But now - after 3 weeks of exercising and seeing the progress made and better energy levels, etc, I think…
  • I like various sugary cereals, measure out a portion to match the cals and eat them dry :)
  • I've just discovered the world of Lean Cuisine, they were on special so I bought some. Contrary to many, I like the taste, possibly a psychological affect of not having to prepare it makes me feel special :) I've had 2 in the last week and I find the portion size perfect. The variety is great and I plan to eat them…
  • Oh wow these ideas are great, I'm so excited :) am making my own from suggestions here: 1/2 banana topped with melted fun size Milky Way mixed with 20ml light cream.
  • This topic comes up so often and I don't think I've decided where I stand on it - seems good sensible points on either side of the fence. I personally eat back some but not all - I'll eat if I'm hungry. For me - I think I'm working out (after 2 weeks on MFP so far) that my body does fine if I workout for about 30 min…
  • only if you want to torture yourself! Bacon goes with everythring and I probably have it 1-2 times a week - even if it's in small pieces with a chicken pasta or something. And with the rind on - fryed till it's completely crispy. YUM!
  • I love my stationary bike but 700 seem way too high. To be honest - there are so many variables with it - like others have said: your weight, time, resistance, speed you pedal - so I always underestimate rather than overestimate. I average 18-21 km per hour and for 30 min I expect to burn 300-350. I do the same as others…
  • that's a good question - I don't eat back all of them, but yesterday when I didn't exercise and ate under my calories (which is 1200) I got a warning note saying that my body isn't gettting it's correct nutritionif I don't eat AT LEAST 1200 - so I'm thinking I'll eat back some of the workout calories, but not all.... and…
  • that would be frustrating I can imagine :( Definitely good numbers there though and overall good for your long term goals. Perhaps it's different for men vs women too with all that BMI, muscle, fat ratio so possibly perfectly normal. I agree with what smantha32 said - sounds like common sense.
  • I always go over on my protein, not by a heap, but some always. I am okay with it cause I don't reach my carbs and I'm a fan of that mix (higher protein and lower carbs). And I always have a protein for breakfast .. usually a crumpet with vegemite and fried egg... so the yolk is runny and oozes into the vegemite/crumpet :)…
  • I have just started too and could do with some friends to.
