I feel like Im in a rut with my food choices so would love to check out others dairies for inspiration - add me ☺ and I'll add too.

I love peanut butter threads! Must try the grilled peanut butter and nutella - am imagining that would taste amazing - my dessert tonight I think.

Sundays is it for me, I usually go over my daily by 500-700 but since I am usually a bit under other days in the week I often still stay in my weekly average, Win-Win! If I hit a low point and feel flat like a few weeks ago, I'll eat over a few hundred several days in a row which looks bad when it's a big red number :) but…

Definitely rice, can't believe how much I used to eat... And bacon.., although I happily fit that not my diary a couple of times a week. I've found baffling though that before MFP I never ate Peanut Butter but now I crave it a couple of times a week :) and can't believe how much I love it now.

You sound perfectly normal to me, I've found the daily actions of movement sufficient for me. I think it depends on your goals, I don't want to tone up, just lose weight. I do like my exercise bike once or twice a week too, while watching TV, gives me a good buffer of calories to splurge over weekend.
-
correct - eat what is your set, then additional for exercise burned cals. I only eat a portion of my exercise calories back - but that's to save a few for my weekend splurge :) and I don't have a HRM and I know the MFP setting and estimates for calories burned can be quite high - so I stick to the side of caution. Good…

I try and scan barcodes too - but don't use any recipes listed - I don't trust what others put in them and I'd much rather add my own ingredients and quantities and get an accurate reading. For that reason - I try and use only entries that list a weight (100g or something) and not just 1 slice of cake - that could be…
-
yep absolutely - see you knew the answer yourself anyway :) You'll be fine.
-
No of course not. Generally - well - surely almost always :) we didn't get ourselves into the unhealthy overweight state we were before MFP overnight - so a few days won't set you back to the beginning. You may just find that as a weekly average (which I live by and don't use the daily as much) you have been eating at…

I don't have first hand experience of a plateau... yet :) but I read another post that seemed sensible. To switch to maintainance for a month or so to give yourself a physical and mental break - then reset again for losing weight. Don't know of the scientific basis for this - but I liked the idea - rather than feeling like…

My food scales are the best thing ever since I started MFP. I'm constantly amazed at what does weigh more than I thought and what weighs less than I thought. Unfortunately - I've almost given up chips :( I can't believe how little I get for a "serving" and I feel cheated... sometimes I only get 7 or 8 chips - it's hard to…

My trusted favourite 2 foods - peanut butter and bacon... not together although some would :) I love peanut butter off the spoon!
-
that's fantastic - so inspirational! I love your attitude - going over and gaining from lots of social things in one week isn't a reason to chuck the whole process in - just get back to your routines the next week. Consistency is totally the key! Well done.

some great suggestions. I tend to agree to give a few things a try and see what works for you. eating at 1200 cal worked for me for a while - except then I started to feel like crap! So I increased by 200 cal a day and feel like a new woman! I'm a big advocate of the weekly calorie goal - so I always have a splurge on the…

I love sushi and have it about once a week for lunch! But 600 seems excessive on the calories. I usually have 2 pieces (100g each) and expect around 350-400 cals for teriyaki chicken. Personally I only choose entries on MFP where there is a weight associated with it - perhaps investigate that a bit more, don't select…

Make sure to have breakfast and sleep enough. and give yourself a break if you blow the cals here or there, your efforts won't be ruined by having that extra slice of pizza or whatever, I go over on average a day a week but this race is won with consistency not speed :) That's my 2 cents.

I've had a week of ups and downs and its easy to fall back into bad habits. Instead of being stricter to try and undo the bad weeks, Id change your goals to lose a small amount and let the extra calorie allowance ease you back into it. I've done that before and it's very motivating. Then if you feel over time you can eat…

Sorry, I don't know about the BMR and TDEE stuff - I just go on the MFP settings and have found that has worked for me, so I don't want to muck with it. Am 1/2 way there so have dropped my weekly goal from 2 to 1 pound and have enjoyed the increase in calories, but still losing, just not as much per week as I was before.
-
I think your calories are too low. I found I felt the same about a month ago and couldn't believe how "not myself" and fatigued I felt, it was an effort to move around! So I re-calculated my calories (in the goals) and dropped to losing 1 pound a week instead of 2 - so now the extra 150-200 cals per day has made all the…

I have it every day! It think it's down to the quantity that you have - anyone who eats it from a spoon is crazy!!! And even among Aussie's that love it (like me) there is a fine balance of what people like, a bare scraping on toast, a more liberal smear, or lathered on. I am in between and would use about a teaspoon on…

great replies :) ... Bubbl3s25, you're my inspiration, everyday - sounds like a great idea! And a bacon sandwich WITH peanut butter? mmm - not sure I'm that brave :) but will keep in mind for when I get to maintenance...

Hello - I'm a South Aussie!
-
I love "cheat days" and mine is Sundays... having said that - it's not really a "cheat" cause I log what I eat and as long as my weekly average is still on or under my target then I'm happy! Has worked well for me - I keep my high carb goodies for Sundays... and have chips and gravy for lunch! Whatever works for you - at…

Oh my Goodness! There are soooo many combinations of peanut butter and things I have to try now :) I love the idea of peanut butter and banana or pretzels... not sure about peanut butter and beetroot or bacon... may have to think about those combos! I also love it out of the jar - who doesn't?! Great combos everyone - I'm…

I eat beef and enjoy it - but nothing compares to the Aussie equivalent - Lamb - my fav meat and eat about two-three times a week! My life without meat sounds incredible depressing... so I'm a pro meat-fan!
-
I like the Special K suggestion - especially because I like it for a snack too - just weigh and eat it dry - yummy!
-
I agree with others who've posted. Have you got your goal set to about 1/2 pound a week or so - to give you the greatest cal allowance. For me it's a cycle - if I eat carbs (inc sugar, sweets, white bread things, etc) then I crave more a couple of hours later and find it hard to feel satisfied. After a couple of days of…

I am on 1250 and usually eat back some of them - just depends on how hungry I am. When I deliberately don't eat back exercise cals - after about 3 days I start to feel like crap - really lethargic and yuck! But when I do eat back some or most - I'm not hungry and feel much more energetic and healthy.

I've often wondered this :) Thinking to satisfy chocolate cravings - one day soon... haven't done it yet... I'll have a Cadbury PIcnic for my lunch (not as part of lunch or a small amount as a snack) that will be my actual lunch, then eat resonable and clean the rest of the day - just cause my cals say I can - so I will!
