Don't sweat it....I quit the day I started this MFP. Never gained weight and never had problems. Lungs will clear a bit and start to heal. It never "got worse before it got better". It takes time so just stick with it. It will be worth it and remember even one puff will throw you back to square one. It's NOT at all like…

I guess I am going to get yelled at about this but I don't really pre plan stuff. I have no patience or desire to make stuff and write out plans. I have no problems finding stuff to eat without making a federal case out of the process. Granted, my wife just eats tiny little meals and has no planned schedule ( she's a post…

l'll join your over 60 circle. I passed the 62 mark in January. Started MFP on December 26 and have done well so far. I have adjusted my goal twice already dropping it a bit each time. Not too far from goal currently and feel much better about myself. Have not done heavy lifting but kept with light cardio and walking (…

Wish we had a gym but we're a small office of only about 15 of us. Some of my customers have gyms that I got to help design systems for (Alcoa, Allstate, Progressive etc..) I. Really envy that and would take advantage of it big time. I have 3 areas I work in, so I do get to my various offices. I'm lucky if I wander the…

Szechuan chicken with broccoli , onion, peppers over rice 400 cals.

In my desk at work I keep a few items just in case. A few cans of Progresso light soup, very filling and about 140 calories for the entire can Light microwave popcorn also quick and filling. IF your office doesn't have a microwave go for peanut butter and crackers, granola bar. I also really like Dry cereal right from the…

You guys are all totally awesome!! I admire each one of you

The ingredient I'm missing is the patience to even attempt this recipe. I'm no cook. I'll spend the 5 bucks a pint. Halo Top is only mediocre in my opinion so by the time I load it with another 50 calories of Hershey syrup it's no longer a super low treat

Good to hear from you , there are a few of us here that are 90 days into the routine. I think we wanted to start before the new year that way we would not be considered New Year "resolutionists " Best of luck and hope your doing great.

I always do the whole box too, but curiosity was making me crazy so this 2/3 cup was strictly an experiment to see how much it would yield cooked.

Air popped popcorn But is you salt it be prepared for the water retention due to the salt.

The box of Ziti said 200 calories per 2/3 cup dry. I measured 2/3 cup and just cooked this amount to see what the net result would be. After cooked to my liking (not mushy...not chewy) is measured out about 1-1/8 cup. This with 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce ends up at a whopping 260 calories. Not bad for a decent dinner.

I don't think there is crazy calories in non- dairy powdered creamer unless you pour a ton of it in. It's only 10 calories per tsp. Sure it's maybe not the healthiest choice. I am a huge coffee drinker and use about 1/2 tsp of creamer per cup. Between the coffee, sweet and low and creamer I simply pop in 100 calories per…

Ok....I have NEVER posted a picture here before so pardon my not being good at it. The difference is about 30 lbs., and yes, that is Billy Ray Cyrus

Yeah, they sink up I haven't figured out the whole shebang yet, but there is a UnderArmor program that pops up and gives me all the info. It also takes step or exercise calories and applies them toward your daily goals.

Mix a small amount of oil with a lot of red wine vinegar. To eliminate the bitterness of the vinegar add sweet and low to taste. I add some Italian spices or some good seasons dressing mix to spice it up a bit. You will need to shake the hell out of it since it does not mix well due to the minimal amount of oil. Overall…

I dislike yogurt as well. Tho see it has a terrible taste and the texture is icky. But then again....I'm weird and only eat blah and plain foods.

It's different for everyone. I have NEVER weighted anything and don't even own a scale. I can eyeball things out and and can use a measuring cup to see what is a cup of food. If I buy food, and the label says it's 1 pound I can estimate that a fourth of the package is 4 oz. Have never had an issue losing weight by…

Just look in the mirror, or think about all the clothes that now fit better. You can easily take a day or two off of logging and still stay on track. You've made it this far due to your great desire and strong commitment. You can easily go the rest of the way. You,will feel so much better about yourself for taking these…
-
Think of it as a interactive video game and the logging won't seem like hard work.

What is a poke restaurant?
-
It's available in most Walmart these days. One of our guys at work turned me on to it and I have been hooked ever since, it's as close to my home made as there is. If you ever need it I am pleased to send some your way.
-
All excellent advice.

Dude, it's a piece of cake ( not literally). I'm over 60 and have no issues. Didn't even tell a soul I was logging calories. Just log what you eat, stay under your goal and watch a few lbs a week fall off. By summer you will have dropped the 20 lbs and feeling 200% better about yourself and THAT is the true win.
-
You will do great in spite of his negativity. You,will also have great delight in watching him squirm as you prove him wrong. Just follow the numbers and it's a win. Don't let age discourage your attitude it has nothing to do with success.

Cooking oil... Even conola oil is still 120 cals per tbsp. Heck, I will just cook with spaghetti sauce instead.
