I have tried strict calorie counting before and the weight does start to come off but it’s really slow like 200g a week. I feel disheartened with that and end up giving up. My goal is to lose 20kg which will only make me 100kg and my ideal weight is 65. I haven’t been 65 kg since I was 20 so not sure if thats ever gonna…

Thanks everyone I have checked my settings and both fitbit and mfp have the same goals. I am going to see how I go with just eating better and exercising more without worrying about things too much for a week and see how I go. That will give me an idea on what I need to do to improve my fitness and wellbeing.

I think I'll stick to the 1200 like I have been. I have given up alot of junk food and exercised more regularly and slowly losing weight but the rate I'm going it feels like it's gonna take forever and I have pcos which doesn't help matters. Just gotta stay positive and persistent I guess

Well done you must be very strong willed to give up everything!!

That's how I do it when I work up a sweat I log it

I now realise that it does seem very stupid and I have decided that I will soldier on and just slowly try to lose the weight and deal with the skin issue later down the track. Although I am very lucky as to not have any major illnesses I am heading down that track and to be honest don't really wanna go there. Thankyou to…

Thankyou to everyone for your support. I have spoken to him about it and he didn't realise that it was upsetting me and has promised that he will be a bit more mindful in the future. If not I will take on board some of these great suggestions as to kicking him in the balls lol

if your getting bored with the wraps try using other types of breads like a multigrain roll or rye bread. I like having a tuna mix and salad (tuna mixed with diced celery and mayo) or having leftovers from the last nights meal is a good one too.

I have about 40kgs to lose but lacking motivation to do any exercise and eating after tea is the killer for me. Is there anyone on here that suffers from PCOS as I think this along with depression is stopping me from losing weight which is a real downer when you try as hard as you can and get nowhere. Any ideas anyone??

I hadn't had mcdonalds for about 2 months and thought I would treat myself for a change. Well I soon regretted that after I ate the disgusting cold chips and greasy burger I ended up very bloated and felt terrible. Not eating that again!!

me too :)

Thanks will keep that in mind as I wasn't sure if they already had a defecit built in, now that I know that it does I can start planning my meals better using most of my calories rather than having so many left at the end of the day. I plan to lose 1/2kg a week, anything extra would be a bonus but I'm not in a hurry. :)

Thank you for the reply I tend to leave my exercise calories alone unless I decide that I'm going to have a little splurge on something (I have a sweet tooth ) I have a lot of weight to lose and would rather not eat back what I just used.
