I agree with Walking--you already have what you need to get the results you are looking for. II'm not familiar with a TBWM but have a concept 2 which I LOVE. Imo, if you decide to buy a rower, wait until you can afford the c2's, they are excellent machines and you will get a full body workout. Sometimes the lower priced…

I have used both YAYOG and BBY--what I found with YAYOG is it was hard (for me) to figure out when I should make the progression to the next level. The app moved too fast through the progressions for me so I ended up adapting it to suit my abilities for the first 10 week cycle. Once I completed the 10 weeks, while I had…

I heard the terms "Bob-B-Que" and "kaBob" thrown around quite a bit after last nights episode... But still--having to watch people eat you? Gah!! :anguished:

I signed up and am begging for mercy--haven't been on the rower for 2 months :-( I'd best get some warm ups in :ohwell:
-
This is exactly my work out goal as well. You look fabulous -your back is impressive! Thank you for posting and giving me hope I can get results (currently working through You are your own gym)

Thought the same thing....

Tried Hemlock Grove but when my teenaged daughter got hooked I figured I was out of the demographic

I'm watching this show too, so far very true to the books--despite that, it's still intense. Loving both Corey Stoll and Kevin Durand edit: typo

Great interview and awesome information...thanks SS!

Interesting discussion. Strangely enough I have had that conversation with a cardiologist. My father who was 71 when he died of a massive heart attack, had no pre-existing heart condition (had a clear ECG 6 months prior), walked daily and had no weight issues. Because this was an out of the blue situation, both my brother…

I agree with the above poster. I'm 47 and maintain at 1800 cals per day and live a moderately actively lifestyle. I agree that women in menopause don't require huge amounts of food, but if you can go higher I'd try it.

Darn!! I completely missed this challenge guys!! Sorry...:grumble:

Pffft--sunship will get those distances rowed in 2 days....hahahaha

I'm 5'7", 46, 128 lbs and maintain at 1900 cals. I do about three hours of cardio a week (ride my bike to work) and do weights 3x per week

Wow. This thread turned weird...

On these boards "too much cardio" relates to loss of muscle mass with the end result of your body looking like some Olympic marathon runner. Unless your goal is running marathons you likely won't ever morph into that.
-
I don't think 30-60 mins of cardio, 6 days a week is excessive at all. I've done that much myself. Just make sure you are eating back exercise calories so you don't lose the lean muscle mass from your resistance training. Listen to your body too, if you feel fatigued dial back the workout and up your carbs.

Love Rice Krispies. ..with melted marshmallow and pressed into a pan...

Not to derail here...but I must confess my girl crush on you as you are one of my favorite posters. What blows my mind is the sport cycling, kick *kitten* belly dancing lifter looking for sewing tips on pintrest Your awesomeness amazes me. :drinker:

You are right. Just because you believe something I don't believe in, doesn't mean you can't do it. So do it. But if you want to post in a public forum and a) claim product/plan superiority or b) extreme weight loss benefits or c) requesting opinions on said product, plan or benefit then you should expect some form of…

The only reason I lurk these threads; the entertainment value is epic. Sometimes I even learn a thing or two. But really, people only comment on a post it's not an attack on you. Don't take *kitten* so personally. Unless someone says something nasty about peanut butter.

Sorry ladies, gotta agree here...*most* men are way more forgiving on female body types. Women are their own worst enemies because, for the most part, they fail to see their best qualities and focus only on their perceived flaws.

I highly recommend Body by You. Huge variation in body weight exercises and levels of difficulty plus a defined plan to help you get stronger. You can do it at home or at a playground if you want.
-
I love how great Kasy is--totally inspired me to begin body weight training to get strong and lean. Ninja warriors dude bodies rock.

Me. Had my gallbladder out laproscopcially in December. I have no dietary issues although I've heard high fat greasy foods can be problematic. In and out of the hospital the same day, back rowing (light effort) after 6 weeks. In short--didn't affect my weight.

Hey! Hi to the three new posters here! Welcome and please add the rest of the group in this thread if you want. Some of us are still rowing, some are also cyclists. We did OK in the word erg challenge--it was tough but we had some amazing rowers who cranked out impressive distances. Welcome and it's great to have more…

I have just downloaded the app and completed beginner day one. I was regularly doing push ups (assisted) and let me ups (bent legs) so not too sore. I see leg day is next so I'm guessing I'll feel differently. I like how you can use the workout builder to modify as well as change the preloaded workout to suit. keeping my…
