If they're your friends, they'll understand! Too many times, I've stuck to my diet M-F and then ate whatever I wanted on the weekend because I was out with friends. It really derails me and stalls progress! Do what's best for you and they'll understand!

My fiance used to drink close to a 2 liter of Diet Pepsi every day. I enjoy the occasional Diet Coke, but I could always tell that it made me crave sweets and would bloat me. Everyone's different. We gave up diet soda and have been so much better off. I enjoy La Croix. It's sparkling water with natural flavors, and comes…

I've run 3 half marathons. I love Hal Higdon's plans. I was super busy and didn't keep up with my running for about 6 months, so I'm currently using his 10K plan. I'd love some runner friends!

I'm an every day weigher. I used to weigh myself Sundays and Wednesdays. Wednesdays are usually my best because I am always really on track during the week. Sundays are harder because if I'm eating out on the weekends, it catches up with me Sunday! Like others said, it's hard to not weigh yourself every day but if you do,…

I worked in a bakery from age 16 to age 22.. Throughout HS and then came back for holidays in college. One of the largest retail bakeries in the country. 4 AM shifts to prep the store were my favorite. Loved tasting all of the goodies - we did enough running around with how busy it would get that a little taste never hurt…

Currently on Army Wives. Previously, I've gone through Parenthood, Grey's Anatomy, and Scandal!

Good luck! Sounds like you are on the right track. :) Just a personal note - I am 5'4" about 150 lbs, and MFP set my calorie goal to 1300 to lose 1.2 lbs/week. I was doing my best to eat 1300 cals/day, while eating back most of my exercise calories. I constantly felt bloated and huge even though I was doing what MFP told…

Can you walk outside? Write down your exercises in a notebook (assuming you don't need the video for step by step instruction)? I purchased dumbbells recently because I was sick of waiting in line for some at the gym - best $30 I ever spent (Target). You could do those anywhere. Also, there are apps that can give you…

A few of my favorites.. Katy Perry - Roar (cliche, but it pumps me up) Keep Your Eyes Open - The Reckoning Dog Days are Over - Florence and the Machine

What about ground turkey instead of ground beef?

A great first date I once went on.. I met the guy in his college town. We went out to dinner, not a fancy place, but a craft beer type place with a friendly atmosphere. Walked to the local park from there where they show movies in the summer on a big screen. He brought a blanket and we just hung out and watched the movie,…

I have been wanting to purchase a nice food scale for awhile now. Does anyone have suggestions on brands, preferably a nice digital one?

My boyfriend currently works night shift (6p-6a). His schedule is usually crazy too, especially with a 1 hour commute (can be harder in winter because he has to allow more time). What currently works for him: He eats breakfast with me when he gets home (something small) and goes to bed not long after that. Usually showers…

Ran the 1/2 in Pittsburgh last year - my first one ever - amazing experience.. Also ran the 1/2 in Erie at Presque Isle in September. Great course (it's totally flat) and a wonderful view. Running Pittsburgh again this year!! Woo!!

Polar FT4F was definitely a great investment on my part. $90 ish at a sporting goods store, but I'm sure you can find it cheaper than that. I highly recommend it!

I've also read that a lot of soy (actually, almost all) contains GMO's. Food Babe's link I posted will help elaborate, but I try to stay away from that when I can. :)

Not sure if any of these may work for you, but I found this post to be helpful: http://foodbabe.com/2012/12/13/the-healthiest-protein-powders-on-the-market/ I love Tera's Whey. That is the brand I currently have. Love the chocolate one!

My favorite quick way is just on the grill/stove top with some olive oil, salt, pepper, and oregano. Mrs Dash also makes some great seasonings. I also love it mixed w/ some diced tomatoes and a little shredded cheese on top. This past weekend we cooked ours in the oven with olive oil, lemon, salt, pepper, and rosemary.

My favorite smoothie: 1 ½-2 cups fresh spinach ½ banana ½ c frozen peaches ½ c frozen grapes water ice (unless you freeze fruits beforehand, which I do).

Peanut butter. Chocolate. Wine. CHEESE!!!

I'm thinking of trying lighter versions of spinach and artichoke dip and buffalo chicken dip. Maybe even homemade chicken tenders!

Thanks for the awesome recipes they all sound great. I make a lot of things myself but I've given up on coffee creamer. I usually use almond milk and stevia. I get headaches from coffee mate or ID. Not sure what it is in them, but I eliminated the creamer and it alleviated the headaches. Thanks for the tips!

Just made these! I used 2 bananas, 1 c oats, 1/4 c chocolate chips and 2 tbsp of Pb2. Came out great!!

Another serious favorite.. Spinach, white bean, turkey sausage soup! Nice and garlicky but not too overpowering. Very filling! http://www.closetcooking.com/2009/01/spinach-white-bean-and-turkey-sausage.html

I have never starved myself - I love food TOO much. Tried South Beach once in high school - only lasted a day or two. Special K diet - Probably tried that one 4 times. What an idiot.. it's ALL sugar. Slim Fast - Bought the shakes, drank one, never drank another. By far the worst one.. Kim Kardashian diet pills. Literally I…
